I have been involved in genealogy since 1993. I am thrilled with this site and those who use their precious time to help canvas the cemeteries or post obituary information. It has helped me tremendously. It is amazing how one obituary can help break down a brick wall in a search. I live in Indiana, but was born in Oklahoma. Many of my maternal ancestors settled into Oklahoma before it became a state. Others on my paternal side came from Scotland in the mid-1880's. Others seem to have always been in the US. The main hub seems to center around Missouri for many of my ancestors. They've been there forever along with many of the same families as neighbors for decades.
