Bio and Links
Bio Photo I have been doing genealogy research since 2001. I love the challenges and the excitement of knocking down those brick walls. I want to thank all of the volunteers who do such a great job with fulfilling the photo requests. It makes such a difference to have photos to go along with the memorials.

In Dec 2012 I become a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution, which has been a goal of mine for many years. I look forward to becoming involved in my community with their projects which help support our local Veteran's Home. has strict rules about not copying other peoples photos as they are copyrighted material. With this in mind, I would appreciate it if you don't copy the photos I have posted without my permission. I have recently discovered some people have done this and then posted the photos to trees on without even bothering to source where the photos came from. This is discourteous at best. If you are going to copy photos without my permission, at least be honorable enough to say where you found them. The same goes for any other info you cut and paste from my memorials such as bios and obituaries. Just say where you found the info so others can be guided to this site.

Some of my ancestor lines are: Turnidge, Decker, Peters, Berberich, Claymon, Eden, Classen, Wirth, Irwin, Pennington, Terrell, Crowley, Fletcher, Connell, Atkinson, Glover, Curd, Vorce, Clarke, Russell, Letman, Whitton, Nutting, Lea, Letman, Boyce, Baker, Douglas, Rhea, Perkins and Griffith.

RE: Christopher C. Clarke
Thank you Michelle! You are so sweet! It warms my heart to know we have helped and that is one of the many reasons why I am having my daughter participate in this process.
Please keep in touch!

RE: Christopher C. Clarke
Hi Michelle thanks for getting back to me on this obituary. It means so much that I could help you find info on your family member. :)
The source of the info came from a book that I have in my possession. It is Obituaries of Washington County, Volume Four, 1909-1912, Compiled by Barbara Easley and published by Heritage Books. I have almost completed this book and will move on to the next to make sure these obits find their way to their respective memorials on this wonderful site.
My daughter also enjoys helping me with this project so I have lots of help and quality time with my daughter.
I hope you have a wonderful night and I am so glad I could help!! :)

Junior Alfred Armstrong
I saw that you are the creator of the listing for Junior Alfred Armstrong. Are you related? I am looking for information on his Grandson who passed away before him Gunther Alexander Green. If you have any information I would deeply appreciate it.

Dan Curd has indeed done great work. I'll let you know when his book comes out. Rod

RE: Owen Thomas Curd correction
Hi Michelle,

My great grandmother was Clara Winn Curd Overstreet Hill, daughter of Havilah Price Curd. I saw Clara nearly every week until I was 16, so I remember her quite vividly.

Dan Curd is descended from Price's brother, Beverly Daniel "Brud" Curd. He is the leading expert on all things Curd. I have seen an advance draft of his encyclopedic update of the earlier volume. He was born in Graves County (Owensboro), Kentucky, but, like me, his roots are in Barren County. He has traced over 4,000 Curds, not only their genealogy, but also, through extensive news clippings, their human stories.

RE: Owen Thomas Curd correction
Hi Michelle,

Thanks for the question. The dates are from a forthcoming volume on the Curd family from Daniel Smith Curd. They are also consistent with the dates in "The Curd Family in America," by Frank D. Fuller and thomas H.S. Curd, 1938, at pages 81 and 93.

RE: Ruth Forcher
Hi Michelle!

She may well have believed she was born in Georgia if they moved there shortly after her birth. Why would her birth be registered in Texas if she weren't born there? That is a primary, contemporary record. Everything else - census, death certificate - is secondary, based on hearsay. I personally take the Texas record as the correct one. Unless and until a primary record of her birth in Georgia turns up.
