I am actively researching Michael Bowen, a revolutionary War soldier from Washington County, PA, and Lawrence County, OH. I believe my 5th great grandfather, Daniel Bowen (~1805-1840, m. Mary Dotson in 1826) was one of Michael's youngest sons. I believe Michael was most likely also the father of Adam Bowen (lived in KY, m. Rhoda Wooten b. 1783 and married Rhoda Wooten), John Bowen (1785-1840 m. Rachel Feurt and lived in what is now Vinton County, Ohio), Sarah Bowen Malone (m. Richard Malone and lived in Scioto County, Ohio), Michael Bowen Jr (~1800-~1850 m. Elizabeth DeLawder and stayed in Lawrence County, Ohio), and George Bowen (m. Lettisha McFann and lived in Scioto County, Ohio), and possibly also a William Bowen who married Susannah Triggs. With the exception of William there is strong circumstantial and DNA evidence, as well as YDNA evidence for all but George, William and Sarah. I'd LOVE to discuss this with any descendants of any of these lines.
