I used to drive my Grandma Conte frequently to the cemetery in Sanger,Ca. to put flowers on the graves of family and friends. She was so afraid that she would be forgotten when she passed on--and I assured her that would not happen--and it hasn't. With our frequent trips to cemeteries I started taking pictures. Find a Grave site is a wonderful way to pay homage to those no longer with us,be it loved ones, strangers, animals or those that have no one to remember them.|
I was born in Fresno,Ca. and raised in Needles,Ca. and currently live in Bakersfield,Ca--so you can say I am a Cal. girl and most assuredly a desert rat.

Thanks for letting me know. Yes it is a very beautiful cemetery. Large trees, winding road ways, old sections and new. Good to know about the office.

Hello, I don't live to far from the Cemetery in Redlands CA. If you wish for me to take a photo of James Snyder grave stone I would be pleased to do so. Do you know the area, it is a very large cemetery. Will the office help in finding graves?

Thank you Trisha, I would be honored to maintain Allen's memorial here. He is my nephew and my heart goes out to all veterans who served and military now serving. Bless your heart for all you do!

For Alice May Bates 10065766, I notice you had put flowers about the same time every year for the past 3 years, was just wondering if she is relation to you or if you knew her? I believe she is an aunt of my husbands (born Alice May Phelps in IA) and an obit of a sisters places her residence in CA, but cannot solidly verify this.

What a blunder! That's what I get for working too late. Saw the birth date & just assumed the rest. I'm so embarrassed! Please excuse me & thank you for telling me about it. I'll know to be extra careful for this in the future.
Have a good Sunday & week!
I just posted Joe Scholar's photo request for you & was wondering if you would like to make a memorial & request for Nellie too? Of course I would like to provide the picture too (:
It was really pretty out there early this evening. My husband & I went out after he got home from work & dinner. They're in the new expansion area just west of the main cemetery, healthy, beautifully maintained lawn, easy to find location markers, pine trees all around the perimeter. Everything still new! My husband & I have decided Sanger Cemetery is our favorite, so peaceful & all those roses & trees with peacocks calling next to the cemetery.

You are so welcome. I appreciate that you added it. You would be surprised how many won't. Last week I was sending out 10 plus per day. I think only 5 contributors actually added the obits, or used any of the information from them.

You are so welcome. There are a lot of graves in that cemetery that are unmarked. To me that is so sad because everyone should be recognized for their life. I always hate when I find one that is unmarked. Linda

This memorial for Ernesto is in Riverview Cemetery. The photo of the Memorial is at Desert Lawn Cemetery in Mohave Valley.
Ernesto died when the Edison Plant blew a steam pipe in 1985. This memorial was at the entrance to the plant and when they tore the plant down they moved it the Desert Lawn Cemetery.
