Virginia and I recently (2014) celebrated our 54th wedding anniversary. My family roots include Hobson (of course), Garrison, Vandruff, Goff, and so many others too numerous to mention. The family tree has been my form of recreation for over thirty years, and I continue to seek and find connected families. I collect obituaries, headstone photos, old family photos, published biographies, engagement and wedding announcements for those in my family tree, and am always looking for more. I'm very grateful to those who post information without hoping for financial gain. I usually post memorials here when there is an obituary to use as a biographical paragraph. My own collected research is available for the asking.|

I appreciate your note. I try my best but some of the old stone are really hard to read.
I'm happy I could meet your request.

I can not seem to find out what happened to John Wivines. Emma remarries to a man by the name of Fred Wright. They are buried at Chippianock. Will keep looking. Earl Henry Wivines is buried on the Arsenal that is her son Henry.

Meb Blue was my great uncle ... brother of my grandfather Jacob Owen Blue. I remember Aunt Jesse quite well. I lived with my grandparents in Brave and Uncle Meb and Aunt Jesse visited with them often.
I am the daughter of Doris Gayle Blue Evans ... who was the postmaster in Brave, Greene County, PA for nearly 38 years. Mom married George William Evans and they owned and operated the "Big G" restaurant in Blacksville, WV after retirement. 'Dad' will turn 96 tomorrow and mother will be 95 February 19th.

I asked permission from the author of "A Village Called Brave" to move their mini bios and photos of former employees into findagrave.com. Brave was my hometown. Wish I could help with the headstone photos but I now live in Harrisburg, PA and seldom return to Greene County.

Sure, you can use the 'photo'! I haven't been reprimanded for using it, so I'm sure it is ok. By that I mean, using a stock photo in place of an actual one. sometimes people can be very picky and strict on this site. I find it helpful to know if someone doesn't have a gravestone, to save another person's time trying to find one that doesn't exist! Thank you for asking!

I have been trying to locate graves for John and Rachel Wright when I found your reference note on the memorial for Sarah J. Wright Goff and wanted to know if you have researched further on her parents.
Note: Sarah J. Wright Goff was the daughter of John Wright and Rachel (Unknown).
My family records show Rachel Garrison was her mother. I have found some additional records for Rachel's parents - Stephen Garrison and Elizabeth Ayers Garrison (graves located in Salem Cty, NJ - Olivet Cemetery) and further back to Jacob Garrison and Christina Cresson.
I'm looking forward to review your site and hope to hear from you soon.
Susan Tuttle (grandmother Minnie Nina Wright)
