I started researching my genealogy in 1980 and got hooked. I took classes, and was taught by the best. The rest is history! I enjoy and feel such peace wandering through cemeteries. I have a lot of information. I hope it will help to make it easier for those of you that are researching. Please feel free to submit any corrections to me that I may make in error.I, like so many others, found this sight by accident. Find A Grave has been my source of comfort from so many caring and loving people. I would like to thank everyone that has visited and left flowers and a note for my family, it has truly brought such comfort to me. I have read about a lot of wonderful people and hope that I too have brought comfort to there family as well.
I would like to honor and give thanks to everyone that goes from cemetery to cemetery and or transcribes cemetery records, graves and/or takes pictures. Your hard work and generosity does not in any way go unnoticed to anyone researching. You are truly angels on earth to the ones searching for a loved one or ancestor's burial place.I have found some of my family that I would have never known if it were not for the ones that transcribe...Thank you all! Keep up the good work! God Bless To Everyone!
I want to thank everyone that visits my family and leaves tokens and notes. Sometimes, I get so overwhelmed and behind on my Thank You's, but please know that they do not go unnoticed. From the bottom of my heart & soul I am touched with each one. Love To All & God Bless!
I have been a very generous person when it comes to sharing my family history and my photo's. I have noticed as well as others have brought it to my attention, that there are a few people that will copy the photo's and/or stories and post as if they had contributed them rather than give the person credit from where they got it!This includes duplicating memorials as well as adding to their trees on Ancestry.com..It is common courtesy to ask permission to use a photo from the owner or original contributor,Although I do not expect anyone to ask me for permission, just give me or the person credit for their work!!!!!
I agree with another member's profile:
I think it is a real shame what find A Grave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers. What has been forgotten by many is that these were people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned.
With my apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them.

Yes, it really is a small world ! It's always nice to find cousins . I look forward to having more free time soon and doing more research . The pictures are always exciting to find . My mom takes after her Mathis side , in looks . I love seeing similarities . Thank you again .
Thank you for posting pictures of my great great grandparents .
Thank you for adding the photo of my grandmother, Julia(Julie) Marie McAnally, and her family. It is the first time seeing a picture of my great grandfather. I did visit several of her brothers and sisters as a child.
I am wondering where the photo came from, and if you have others of the family. I have been doing my genealogy research for a couple years now, and am getting deeper into the McAnally line.
Thanks for what you do. It is appreciated

Hi, Thank you so much for putting the picture of Elizabeth & Robert. I am kin to Robert through my COFFMAN family line. My Mother was a Coffman.
Do you mind if I use the picture on my tree?

|Brandi Molloy||IDA VESTER MOLLOY HENRY|
Hello - I see that you have Ida henry buried at Elm Grove cemetery in Van Zandt County Texas. I am trying to find any information on her mother Matilda Caroline Tapley Molloy Brewer. It shows on the 1900 census that she was living with Ida. This would be my husband's great grandmother. Any information as to where she may be buried would be appreciated.
|A.G.P.||S. Margaret Kincaid Bethurum|
Hi Linda Joyce, So nice to get you note & to see Sarah Margaret “Peggy” Kincaid connected to her parents. Thank you.
I’m afraid I am not a Bethurum but am rather in the Kincaid line. You & I would be connected through Margaret’s parents, James & Sarah Kincaid as I descend through Margaret’s brother John Kincaid (1791-1873). John made his home in Danville, KY, was an attny, a judge, & also served in the US Congress. He later moved to Sumner Co., TN, with his daughter & son-in-law. My grandmother was born in that house (her grandparents' home) in 1883.
I love Texas and have maternal & paternal cousins in the Dallas & Victoria areas as well as all over the Texas. What a great state! Your work on the Bethurums will be cherished by your family near & distant for years to come. I am in Kentucky & we have Bethurums here as well. I will look further at connections when I find some spare moments.
Meanwhile, thank you again and best wishes, Ann P.

I believe "Aunt" Janie was actually related to my paternal Grandmother Bessie Cowen Smith through her (Bessie's) mother Sarah Elizabeth Copperell Cowen! We grandkids just always called her "Aunt Janie" and I remember her well from when she lived here in Dallas and did Mamaw Bessie's hair and "ran around" with her, while I "tagged-along" in the car backseat enjoying Janie's "dirty" jokes and such! Thanks for maintaining her memorial!
