I have been a very generous person when it comes to sharing my family history and my photo's. I have noticed as well as others have brought it to my attention, that there are a few people that will copy the photo's and/or stories and post as if they had contributed them rather than give the person credit from where they got it!This includes duplicating memorials as well as adding to their trees on Ancestry.com.. Let this be notice that I will be contacting Find A Grave And Ancestry to have all removed that has not given me credit for my hard work that I have spent years doing as I was one of the few that was even doing research on the names in my family! It is common courtesy to ask permission to use a photo from the owner or original contributor, and only if you give that person credit for their work!!!!!|
************ I started researching my genealogy in 1980 and got hooked. I took classes, and was taught by the best. The rest is history! I enjoy and feel such peace wandering through cemeteries. I have a lot of information. I hope it will help to make it easier for those of you that are researching. Please feel free to submit any corrections to me that I may make in error. I, like so many others, found this sight by accident. I was in such pain over the loss of my mother. FAG has been my source of comfort from so many caring and loving people that I now call friends and my angels. I would like to thank everyone that has visited and left flowers and a note for my family, it has truly brought such comfort to me. I have read about a lot of wonderful people and hope that I too have brought comfort to there family as well.
I would like to honor and give thanks to everyone that goes from cemetery to cemetery and or transcribes cemetery records, graves and/or takes pictures. Your hard work and generosity does not in any way go unnoticed to anyone researching. You are truly angels on earth to a genealogist. Keep up the good work! God Bless To Everyone!
I want to thank everyone that visits my family and leaves tokens and notes. Sometimes, I get so overwhelmed and behind on my Thank You's, but please know that they do not go unnoticed. From the bottom of my heart & soul I am touched with each one. Love To All & God Bless!

I think it is a real shame what findagrave has evolved into. What started as a noble way to link people with graves of loved ones they could never hope to see, and with the generations that had preceded them, has turned into a game for some. Memorials have turned into a kind of "trading card", a competition of who can own the most memorials and post the highest numbers. What has been forgotten by many is that these were people, loved in life and death, not a commodity to be traded or owned.
With my apologies to those that have pure motives. I hope there are more of us than there are of them.

Sorry, I didn't enter David so I can't help with that one.
Oh, my goodness, Linda - I wish findagrave could make the "edit emails" we send OUT look really different from the ones we get IN from others...I was going thru the ones I sent to see who had not answered mine & found YOURS to ME! Of course I will transfer - so happy to do that, Cheers~ Shirleen (next time rattle my cage with a public message, okay?)
Thanks so much for the sweet note you left at my son, Brad's memorial - I read through your family & the loss of your Marine brother really touched my heart! Special blessing that your Mom can now see he is okay.

I wonder if those graves were moved from Paradise Cemetery. ??? That's all underwater now, you know. They put in the Smithville dam and it totally took the whole town of Paradise. Some graves were moved, but you know there had to be a lot that had no one to care enough to pay for transferring to another cemetery. I hate to see that happen, but it does, all the time.

Grove Hill Cemetery does not provide Findagrave volunteers burial locations to fill requests.
Please contact Grove Hill cemetery and get the burial location for your request: 214-381-7118
There are over 136 photo requests at this cemetery because the office will not provide the volunteers with locations but will provide a location to a family member if you call and ask for it.

Memorial 9179519 is the memorial for John Albert McClenaghans father. Someone has written a very nice story about the family. So far I have tried to get in touch with the creator of this memorial with no response yet.

I am sorry I got some messages confused. John And Blanche had only two children that we are aware of Frances and Martha. Both born in Dallas, Frances is July 21, 1913 and Martha is Feb 29 1916. They had a step sister or possible half sister named Roberta that sometimes used the last name McClanahan, as well as VonPhress?
|Seanna Nix||RE: # 110192685 Issac Elam|
I have the obituary for him from the Dallas morning news dated October 23, 1918. it says " The body of James A McClanaghan,28 years old who died at El Paso last Saturday, was received in Dallas last night and funeral service will be held in the Smith Chapel at 11 O'clock this morning. Burial will be in Pleasant Mound Cemetery. Mr. Clanaghan formerly lived in Dallas". ( here they have his age incorrect)
So this is where the confusion is. The dates are adding up the timeline is adding up, the obits are matching up, but why is the paper saying James?
If this is a coincidence that this is another man this is one heck of a coincidence.
In the El Paso Herald for the date of October 21,1918 under the Civilian Dead Title is "J.A McClenaghan at a hospital"
His death certificate also says James A McClenaghan Oct 19 1918, Street car conductor for El Paso Electric Railway. Birthplace, Seneca Kansas, no father or mother listed or wife. Now I have to say this is actually his because his draft enlistment card states ElPAso and Blanche and also that he works for the El Paso Electric Railway.
I would love to send you documents to take a look at. Would you care to email me at my personal email? Zbarxfarm@yahoo.com.
