Hello:) I'm originally from Washington, Indiana but moved to Winslow (Pike County) when Joe and & I were married. My daughter is a graduate of OCU and my son is a graduate of Purdue. I work as an LPN in a nursing home and really enjoy it. I have 4 sweet, mischievous grand-kids with another arriving soon.|
I started with genealogy in the early 1980's not long after getting married. It certainly was a horse of a different color before computers.
I'm available to find stones for you in Pike and Daviess Counties in southern Indiana. I'm usually quite busy but will do my best to get your request as soon as I can. I also do some genealogy look-ups for others so it might take a little bit before I can get to them. Thanks for being so patient :)
I enjoy adding memorials to the findagrave website. I don't do it to collect numbers, but instead to help in other's research of their families.
If the memorial is not my own relative or close friend, I consider all requests for memorial transfers. I'm happy to transfer memorials. Likewise, I appreciate similar considerations.
Sometimes I have found pictures that I have taken-- reposted on other websites. Please be considerate and acknowledge the source. Thanks so much :)

|David Trowbridge||One of his sons|
I'm David Trowbridge one of the sons of James A. and Alta Trowbridge. I'm trying to find out my grandfathers (dad) name. New at this type of searching so any help would be appreciated.

I well remember Aunt Alta and Uncle Art Trowbridge. Alta was Grandpa Wilbur Pride's sister, daughter to Great-Grandmother Cynthia (Eskew) Pride. I haven't been able to locate Great-Grandma and Great-Grandpa Pride's graves (Samuel "Ott"Otis Pride and Cynthia F. (Eskew) Pride). Cynthia was the daughter of Mary J. Purcell and her first husband, Solomon E. Eskew. I don't know what happened to Solomon - he's rather hard to trace online - but I do know that Mary's second spouse (Cynthia's step-father) was Louis Day.
Do you have any idea where Cynthia and Ott are buried? Mom said she knows the cemetery is in Daviess County, but she doesn't remember the name. I live 6 hours from Pike and Daviess Counties, and I don't get to visit as often as I like. I sure would appreciate any information you could share with me.

Mary was born in 1869 and died on 4/5/1888. The obit I found said she was buried in Antioch cemetry, Daviess county Indiana. Her husband was William Tolson. I saw that there are some Doane's in that cemetery, could you see, when you have time, if Mary is nearby? Thank you for any assistance that you can give.

Can you tell me how you arrived to the conclusion that Elizabeth Hunsaker born in 1844 was the the wife to Solomon Stilwell??
I have conflicting info that it was Elizabeth Hunsaker born in 1822.
Look forward to hearing from you.
Thank you for your thoughtful and surprise transfer of John Ellis to me! You made my day! Blessings to you! Nan

Jennie, I'm trying to get more information re: James Calhoun d. 1877, bur Oak Grove Cem, Plot I. Also in that plot is "Grandmother" Calhoun who died in 1883.
I am also interested in Eliza Evans Burton who is buried in the Morrison Cem in Pike County. I am interested in proof of her death date. She is no where to be found after the 1870 census.
Any help you can give would be greatly appreciated.
