Hello:) I'm originally from Washington, Indiana but moved to Winslow (Pike County) when Joe and & I were married. I work as an LPN in a nursing home and really enjoy it. I have 5 sweet, mischievous grand-kids.|
I started with genealogy in the early 1980's not long after getting married. It certainly was a horse of a different color before computers.
I'm available to find stones for you in Pike and Daviess Counties in southern Indiana. I'm usually quite busy but will do my best to get your request as soon as I can. I also do some genealogy look-ups for others so it might take a little bit before I can get to them. Thanks for being so patient :)
I enjoy adding memorials to the findagrave website. I don't do it to collect numbers, but instead to help in other's research of their families.
If the memorial is not my own relative or close friend, I consider all requests for memorial transfers. I'm happy to transfer memorials. Likewise, I appreciate similar considerations.
Sometimes I have found pictures that I have taken-- reposted on other websites. Please be considerate and acknowledge the source. Thanks so much :)

In response to your inquiry regarding what Sherwood line I am researching: Abigail Sherwood, born 1789 in Fairfield Co., CT, who moved to Washington County, IN, and married Burr Banks, also from Fairfield Co., CT.

Merry Christmas Jennifer!
Pleasant was my 2nd cousin 6X removed. :)
Dear Jennifer, I have about 100 pending edits sent from Oct. 18th to Oct. 30 and 2/3rds are sent to you, hope they aren't overwhelming. I have been linking and researching a lot of people who are buried in Oak Grove lately. They are mostly descendants of my main research--all those buried in Veale Creek Baptist Church Cemetery (766 interments). I seem to be related to all of them.
Just want you to know I check census, marriage and death records. I don't just copy something someone has posted somewhere.
Thanks for all your hard work and for all you do on Find-a-Grave. Lily
P.S. One of the edits I sent was a suggestion which I sent by way of e-mail.

Hi Jennifer, I just wanted you to know that I was at Oak Grove Cemetery in Washington Indiana this weekend to get a picture of a family members grave, and after I found him and was walking back to my car I came upon the sweetest grave site, I had to get a few photos of it and I searched on find a grave when I got home to see if anyone had added her memorial, it is one you added so I put the photos on. Please take a look when you get a chance, I have just never seen such a pretty grave... Pam

Thank you so much for your devotion and detail regarding these ancestral records and markers. My family is also from Daviess County, and I have been trying to discover information regarding my mother's family. I have finally found some information, and thanks to your research, I discovered that many relatives are located at Oak Grove in Washington. This past Saturday I spent the whole day walking up and down the aisles looking for Ivy Catt #33989321, Charles Doan(e?)33989315, and Wilbur Doan 33989331. I did not find them, despite my best efforts.
If you could provide more detail about where I might find these locations, then I would happily make another trip down there and try again.
Thank you so much for your kindness and generosity of time.
