|I was born in Humboldt, Gibson, Tennessee. My near ancestors came from Gibson, Perry, and Humphreys Counties in Tennessee. I love genealogy and have worked on my family tree for about 35 years. My father is also working on our lines and my daughter is also working on my husband's lines. I have over 40,000 names in my database. I love family pictures and always take pictures of gravestones. It is a great hobby and helps others with their work. I live in Cherokee County, Alabama and do cemetery surveys here.|

Thank You. I have a sister Mary Elizabeth "Lizzie" Gilbert md. to James "Jim" A. Parker. You are probably correct, on her name. I'm just getting started linking this branch of my family together. I'm related to the Gilbert family.

Thanks for your posting in Thompson Cemetery in Rutherford TN. I have the below as my Great great great grandfather from NC who married Elizabeth A Koonce (Koons). If you are traveling that way I would love to have a picture. I will be glad to compensate you for your time and gas or contribute to a charity of your choosing in your honor.

Hello, I have been trying to tied down some information on my family tree. I was told that there is an as he said "ancient Smith" cemetery there in cherokee co. I have census record showing that the smith's were in Cherokee co 1850, 1860. I was hunting more information on them. John B smith that married Rebecca Thomas smith is my line. Do you know any thing about these people I was told that john came from a large smith family. Thank you

Sorry I could not be of more help. You might want to contact Oaks and Nichols funeral home in Columbia to see if they can help. They are the oldest and best funeral home around here. Chances are they covered the funerals.

Pattie, The memorials I had created (buried: unk.) for Rev. Van Archibald and Josephine Rebecca (Tyler ... MY TYLER FAMILY) Bell in 2010, W/BIO.). Wasn't aware where they (incl. their two daus.) were buried until yesterday. Josephine Rebecca Tyler was my G-G-G GPTS., granddaughter, d/o Thomas and Sarah (Shy/Shi) Tyler, Monroe Co., GA and I'm descended from their daughter. I'll send an e-mail to F.A.G. regarding this issue. Thanks!

I would like to try to find your request. If you will call the office and get the section and lot numbers, it will help me to narrow the search. The cemetery is huge and the office wants to charge me for that information. Thanks so much.
Can you verify with them that there is a marker too?
Their number is 404-755-6611
Hey Patti, That is fine. Actually you did what I wanted to do--that is link them together. Thanks for that. If you get this message twice, please excuse it. My email says that it did not go through the first time. I do have a couple of questions for you about Gus. He had a brother, Wiley M. Johnson--do you know when he died and where he is buried? The other question is about his kids by Fannie. Do you know when the following children died and where they are buried---Enos, Clarence, Mary Frances, or Elmer?
If you know any info on this I would appreciate knowing, otheriwise, let's just enjoy having a common ancesttor. Thanks.

Will continue to TRY to get to Old City Cemetery for your request. Been keeping grandchildren all summer and haven't been able to get there. It is kept locked and key is at mayor's office, so limited time frame when one can get there. I have been into it before but was researching my Jetton ancestors.

I will call the church & see if they have any suggestions. I know for sure James is there-he's my father-in-law. Danny told me he was off to an edge b/c they're running out of room. I'm pretty sure most of the others are there. The first 4 are Giles' kids & he donated the property to the church. The next 8 are children of Henry Palmer and Josie. Thank you so much.
