|Genealogy has been a big part of our lives for the last several years. We are as far back as we can go in our family without some very large break through, so we have decided to devote some time to finding the final resting place of as many of our ancestors as possible. |
Thanks to Findagrave we are making some progress. Now on our trips, we always check for photo requests in the area and are trying to give as many photos as we receive. We also try to take photos of as many old or unique headstones as possible. We see too many old headstones that are unreadable or partially destroyed, we want to do our part to save in pictures as many as we can.
Please report any errors we post (we want to be as correct as possible).

Sounds like he is probably "your" Charles--I'll be glad to transfer him to you if you want. I don't have access to any different info than what you could find by searching.
I've been updating several branches of my family recently and have noticed dozens of cases where the Social Security claim date is many years before the person died. From what I've seen of people sending details for people in Alton Cemetery, the burial dates are within a few days of the death dates. Of course there could be exceptions.
