Genealogy has been a big part of our lives for the last several years. We are as far back as we can go in our family without some very large break through, so we have decided to devote some time to finding the final resting place of as many of our ancestors as possible.
Thanks to Findagrave we are making some progress. Now on our trips, we always check for photo requests in the area and are trying to give as many photos as we receive. We also try to take photos of as many old or unique headstones as possible. We see too many old headstones that are unreadable or partially destroyed, we want to do our part to save in pictures as many as we can.
Please report any errors we post (we want to be as correct as possible).
Researching: The Tabor Connection,The Jett Connection,The Hair Connection,The Rattray Connection, Rich/Wagner Connection.

Please help me. Did the Patteson family change their name to Patterson - so all the Patteson's on the Memorial stone should be spelled Patterson? I go tan inquiry from someone direct hunting Nelson A. Patteson - when I went to Maplewood. They had him as Nelson Patteson, but on Find a Grave - it is listed a Patterson. What do you think? Thanks ahead for the info to straighten this out.

RE: Jett family
Hello folks,

My Great Grandmother, Mabel was a Jett. Mabel was born in Robertson County KY and moved here to PA which is where I live. Mabel's father was Elliott Walker Jett, his father Daniel Harrison Jett....

My family and I are taking a trip at the end of July to the Cincinnati/Newport KY area. We will be visiting a few gravesites and were hoping to also find old homes of family members which still exist.

From my research, it seems that Mabel was an only child, but we were hoping to find other Jetts who are still there in the area.

If you have any other info which may be of help, it would be greatly appreciated.

Also, wondering how you are related to the Jett family. Where do we connect?

Thanks so much for your reply.

RE: Thomas Kell and Mary Ann Tabor
Hi Kathy,

Thomas Kell Tabor was my GGF and Solomon Tabor was 4G Grandfather. Do you know Solomon's DOD and POD? I do have notes and info on both of them and would like to compare info.

RE: Emma S. Jett
The Jett and Wood families were intertwined from Fauquier Co., Virginia, then later in Bond County, Illinois. Francis Jett married Elizabeth Wood, daughter of Dickerson and Hannah Withers Wood. Frederick Wood (also a child of Dickerson and Hannah Wood) married Eleanor Ellen Rogers. Their daughter Sarah Emma married William Jett. Is it possible there may be two William Jett's living in Bond Co., Illinois? Why else would her mother, Ellen (Rogers) Wood, be living with William and Emma in La Grange, Bond Co., Illinois? William's age is shown as 51 and Emma is 30. Could it be possible that he was married twice? First to Sarah Davis and then to Sarah Emma Wood?

Hi Bob and Kathy,

They are my great grand parents. I have my Tabor line back to William Tabor born abt 1671 in Lunenburg County, VA. Would like to share Tabor genealogy with you.

I admire what you are doing on Find A Grave. Just getting into that and am amazed at all the wonderful info there.
