A number of memorials have been assigned or willed to me, including some created by fallen gravers bncheek and Autumn, and some from John Doe. If you would like a memorial transferred to your care, please make the request ONLY through the message feature of the "edit" tab on the memorial you want. That way, I'll have the numbers needed for a smooth, accurate transfer. |
I am a photo volunteer, and I photograph the graves for you. If you want to use my grave photos on other web sites, or your family tree, there is no need to ask. But please credit me. If you want a photo on additional Find A Grave memorials, such as when there is a double stone, please ask me to post those so I don't find my photos with your name on them.
When requesting photos, please don't request additional photos in the notes. If the people have memorials, submit those requests from the memorials. Requests in the notes are easily missed. Also, such requests deny credit to the volunteer who takes the photos for you.
This permission to use my photos does not apply to personal or family photos. Please ask first about those.
Find A Grave has been very helpful in my own genealogy research, and I hope that my contributions will be helpful to others.

Hi Isabel, Help me out by deleting previous msg as I accidentally hit send before finishing my "thank you for the photo" message.
Thanks, too, for all the wonderful, VOLUNTEER (not shouting at you just emphasizing) work you do for Find A Grave. Unless a person has done a grave marker photo they have no idea of what's involved and so many do not know or understand that this is a VOLUNTEER website!
Happy & healthy 2017

Thank you, and God bless you for your effort in getting the picture. It is such a long story. So, I hope you will bare with me.
I will try to make it short. I have a death certificate with the dates died Feb 22,1924. I found this at Salt lake city. My name is Ken Morton, my Grand Father Richard M. Morton, was married to Ruthie Maude Carter. I have the Marriage document where they show W.T. Carter as
as her father and mother was Mary L. Hite, They were married May 2, 1907 in Danville Va. All were born in Virginia. The deal is Maude who was the mother of My father Nevitte M Morton, And a sister Gladys Elizabeth Morton Keese born Dec 29,
1907. My father was born Jul 10, 1909. Between say 1905 to 1916, Maude abandoned My Grand Father and the children, Ran off with man. She was suppose to have been found murdered on a train or in a hotel room to or in Chicago IL or St. Louis on train. when my Grand Father was notified as where to send her body he said keep her. Would you mind checking for all carters, Hite. I am from NC. born and raised, Asheville, Carthage, Mooresville, And Burington. 918-341-7880.
Thank you so much.
Kenneth . Morton
Thanks for your usual great photo and for sending the name edit.

|Rolland Hauser||Maria Magdalene Hauser Volck|
Dear Isabel: Maria's Memoir is extant and held by the Moravian Archives in Winston-Salem, NC. I recently had the Archives make an English translation of it. It gives her date of death as 4 March 1791, rather than as 28 February 1791.

Thank You for the update on Karen I have moved her to the cemetery that you specified. Her memorial service was conducted at New Philadelphian Moravian Church so my mother was under the impression that she was buried there as well. I greatly appreciate your efforts and the opportunity you gave us to right our mistake.
