Bio and Links
Bio Photo Because of fires, floods and loss, I started photographing all the markers in Jackson Co Michigan in Nov 2006. We've discovered the 1927 DAR WPA cemetery transcription project didn't have anyone actually walk any of the county cemeteries. They obtained the information from cemetery records, church records and neighbors. Fortunately for all of us this included records of those graves with no markers. Most of the early cemetery records have perished along with some of the cemeteries. Hopefully, we will be able to provide info for descendants of the early/current residents of Jackson County Michigan. By using census, marriage, death and local history information we try to make our entries as complete as possible. Email with info on your ancestors and we'll add them to any of our records. We'll be happy to help you in your search.

Currently, I'm working on adding maiden names to as many memorials as possible.

As of 22 Aug 2009 Jackson Co FAG volunteers have 66,501 burials recorded, by Jan 2010 72,323 burials and by Jan 2013 101,483 burials. Many of the cemeteries have been completed with pics.

Please request edits, corrections & transfers thru the SAC tab (edit tab on the memorial page) and not here on the home page. Remember to check the new "edit" tab on your own homepage to see the corrections/additions sent to you.

Thanks to all those FAGer's who have trusted me to take care of their memorials and have transferred their memorials over to me while they take a leave from findagrave.

David Lane, 1824 - 1923
First of all, thank you to you and all of your friends who work so hard to make this information available to families. I am looking for any information on David Lane, 1824-1923. His sister was my great great great grandmother, Clarissa Lane. She died in Spring Arbor, Jackson, Mich, on 19 Oct 1848 when my great great grandmother was born. If you know anything about her, I would deeply appreciate knowing. Thanks, Sara Johnson, Buffalo, NY

Hi Deb, be on the look out for 3 sets of edits for this distant cousin of mine. Thank you for working on getting maiden names attached to the women. I am focused on getting my relatives on Find A Grave. If they are there already, getting them linked. Thanks so much for your work and help.

4th Michigan Infantry
Memorial transfer
Hi Deb,
I transferred the memorial for Henry Bunker back to you since he served with the Fourth Michigan Calvary. My work focuses on the Fourth Michigan Infantry, a different regiment altogether. I did post a little of his military service record in his bio before sending him back. Thanks again for your transfers to me.

Thank you for all the info you posted for Samuel Doyle - has been very helpful. He also had a daughter Jerusha who I've had linked to his memorial. I'm related to the Benjamin Doyle-Catherine Summers line.

ARCHER
Hi Deb,
Do you remember if there was a smaller tombstone
for George W. Archer when the memorial was done
for his wife Melvina R. Peak Archer? I did a page for George with his death certificate and also requested a photo of his stone. After that is received and posted, we can then link their memorials together. Thanks!
Ken
