Bio

I live in Minden, Louisiana with my husband Roger, one cat (Kitty), and one dog (Meaux). My oldest son, Gary (34), and my two grandchildren Bekah (8) and Ryan (5) live just down the road. My first glimpse of the find a grave site was when my sister sent me the page she and my other sister had set up for my son, Keith Brandon Mangrum (1/26/79-3/11/04). It was overwhelming and every day when I go I am still overwhelmed. I can hardly believe that he is gone. We went through so much together. I considered him mine and mine alone. He counted on me and knew that no matter what Mom would be there, still loving unconditionally. He had a tatoo on his wrist that said "Becky" for me. I asked his friends if they didn't think it was some girl and they all told me no - you could tell by the way he said it that it was his mom. So many of his friends told me that he always talked about what a good mom he had. He said he never had to doubt whether I cared or not. He knew I would be there. That gives me much comfort - knowing that he KNEW without a doubt how much he was loved. There are a lot of parents that can't say for sure whether their children KNOW that they love them. He was, is, and always be my special angel. He was cremated and I brought him home with me. It is where he will stay until I go. We will be together. I appreciate every person that visits and remembers my son and I hope by leaving flowers/notes for others that it will bring them some of the same comfort.
