Thank you for your reply. I would like to know if there is now a head stone at William's grave? I asked several times and have had no good answer. I was up to see several years ago. I live in Fl. Greenwood is so huge it took my friend and I an hour to find the area where it should be but found no marker. Driving in NY was a real adventure for me and I am afraid I will not do it again now that I am 73. When I discovered that William F Scott Jr. was my 2nd. G-grandfather I was so proud. His father in law also served and died and is in Washington DC at at the US Soldiers and Airmen's National Cemetery. So this is a little background on why I keep following up on this. I would love to see a photo of a stone for William.

Are you related to William? He was my 2nd. G-Grandfather on my father's side. You have duplicated a memorial I posted in 2009 #40628047 I had on him. You do elaborate a little more about him than I did. You have one fact incorrect. He died in New York and is buried in Greenwood Cemetery in Brooklyn NY. If you are related I hope you have some information on his parents. He is one of my brick walls.
Thanks, Irene

Peter Chiappa
Hello Elsie,

(Find A Grave Memorial# 12872738)

I know you placed the Chiappa page up a while ago. I was wondering if you had any other information about Peter. My G-G-Grandfather (somewhere in that timeline) moved here from Italy, reports conflict as to which specific location. I was told that when his family moved here, they dropped the first "a" to have a new start.

I am curious if Peter had any brothers or sisters that you know of.

Thanks for any kind of info.
