Bio

2005-2006
This project was started many years ago. With pen and paper in hand, a great lady and my friend, Margaret Lang Kaufman, walked the whole of Riverside Cemetery, over the course of several years, writing down information engraved on tomb stones and monuments.
Margaret's efforts stopped in 1984. I decided to continue her work, but in a different way. With the help of Margo Jennings, present Town Clerk, I was able to collect the rest of the names and additional information stored at the Belfast Town Hall.
From scrap books found at the Belfast Public Library, the Belfast Historical Society, and some from my own collection, given to me, and on the internet, I was able to complete as much data as was found.
It should be noted that for 23 years, two weeks before each Memorial Day, Margaret was the person responsible for placing flags on the graves of veterans, in and around the Town of Belfast.
Corrections and/or additions gracefully accepted and appreciated.
