RE: Hugh & Avice Foster I have more information on the Frankebergers and Fosters but don't know how to edit Findagrave entries yet. I guess, send them to me and I'll learn how to edit and add information. Thank you!
McPhillips DNA Hi, Teresa, I'm back after quite a while since our contact about your husband's possible relationship through the McPhillips branch. I have done my DNA through Ancestry but also linked up with GEDmatch which expands my reach quite a bit. I've found a match with a person who I think the connection is through the McPhillips branch. I'm wondering if your husband has done a DNA test and if he hasn't if he is open to doing one. Finding out how far back we link up could help me get closer in seeing at what level to look at. It might show a light on where James and Bernard come in. If the cost is too much I would think about picking up the cost of the test. I'll send this in an email, but in case your address has changed. I'm sending it this way too. Dona McPhillips
Anice Foster Hi Teresa! I have a little more info on Anice Foster in Emanuel Cemetery, Fairview Township, PA. I was in the cemetery several years ago when we interred my parents' cremains and I sent my siblings fanning out through the cemetery to find our kindred dead.
Avis Foster (born Frankeberger) is a great-great-great aunt of ours. On the tombstone her name was spelled Avice, though in old family records it was Avis. She was the wife of Hugh Foster-- not sure if he is somewhere nearby (but illegible). Hugh Foster's dates are 20 Jun 1766-15 Nov 1827 Avice Foster's dates are 22 Dec. 1776-27 Mar. 1867.
I don't know how to fix entries on findagrave, but if you can, it would be very kind of you!
RE: Transfer of Memorial Well hello cuz! I would love the transfer of George (G P) Arnold. I actually had sent a request for it but to a different person. The Arnold's are my mother's side. George and Sarah's daughter Laura (Arnold) Wagner's son Ray is my mother's father. Thank you. Judi
James McPhillips 90826944 Teresa, I am so excited to find this site because this may be the brother of my great grandfather. So far I have only circumstantial evidence but it feels right. I'm wondering how you came to have the family's pictures. Are you related to them? I'm wondering if you know any more that what you wrote up. It sounds like this might have been a project where you took info out of a book. If so what book? Also, there was a Bernard McPhillips who was there at the same time with his plot of land kitty-corner to James. In the 1860 census with Bernard there is a Mary Cate 14 yrs old that in your Find A Grave site linked Mary Cate as wife to James. I am wondering if James and Bernard were brothers. If so I may have found two brothers to my 2nd grandfather. I may be headed to Yamhill this summer. Please contact me. Thanks, Dona McPhillips
