My name is Mike "Mickey" Nichols, born 9/21/61 in Chicago, IL., to Billy Ray Nichols and Joy Gale Ball-Nichols. I currently reside in Charleston, WV, and am a Charleston City Councilman for ward 5... having lived in Boone Co. WV for many years. I was a professional gospel piano player for many years, and am now retired from the USPS. I have one daughter, Amanda Gale Nichols-Nelson born 01/09/86, and two grandsons, Preston Douglas Nelson born 01/20/04, and Parker Dean Nelson born 3/20/09. My daughter is married to Douglas Nelson, jr., the only child of Douglas and Melody Nelson of Logan Co., WV.
My maternal grandparents are Leslie Clifford Ball and Sylvia Macil Hager-Ball of Boone Co., WV, both are buried in the L.C. Ball Cemetary (named after my grandfather) at Hewett, WV behind the homeplace, where my mother's twin brother, Roy Dale Ball, now resides. My paternal grandparents are Raymond and Juanita Harrison-Nichols of Logan Co., WV., and Raymond is buried in at Forest Lawn Cemetary, Pecks Mill, Logan Co., WV, and Juanita is buried at Baldwin Cemetary, in Logan Co., WV. I have one brother, Barry Dale Nichols (06/03/65), and one sister, Virginia Lynn Nichols-Pridemore (04/15/68).
An interesting fact of my ancestory is that I am a decendant of the mother of George Washington, first President of the United States.
I am extremely interested in geneology and British Monarchy, my ancestors being from England.
