Bio and Links
Bio Photo Greetings everyone!

I have been involved in my family genealogy research since 1979. We come from all over, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany as well as throughout the US.

The family surnames that I am researching are: Barrett, French, Flesher, Oliver, Moutray, Kirk, Fish, Vanskiver, Radford, Dunn and New. Give me a hollar if any of those are familiar to you!

I am NOT a professional genealogist. I am willing to help those with questions or perhaps direct them to someone that might help, if possible.

I have been involved with Find A Grave for over 6 years and have finally settled into the area! I'm currently focusing on Arlington, St. Paul's and West Laurel Hill cemeteries.

Good luck and happy family hunting!

RE: Milberta
Thank you, that would be wonderful. As far as I know these are the only relatives buried there.

RE: Juliana Lawton Kendrick
Dear Denise,

Very good idea. Don't know why I didn't think of that. I have ordered a copy. We shall see if NYC has the death certificate.

Again, thanks!

RE: Juliana Lawton Kendrick
Dear Denise,

Yes, it sure is a mystery. I suppose it is possible that Julian Lawton Kendrick was cremated in NYC and that for some reason her husband keep the ashes in a container for two years and then had them buried at Laurel?

Again, thank you.

Juliana Lawton Kendrick
Dear Denise,

Thank you so much for taking the photos of the Kendrick graves at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. The most "enlightening" information was the information at the bottom of the photograph.

Juliana (Julia) Adelaide Lawton Kendrick was 60 when she died. She died near Weehawken, New Jersey but actually died in N.Y.C. She was visiting her daughter and newest grandchild, took sick and died. Her husband, John Ryland Kendrick came immediately and it now appears, from the information you provided, took her remains back to Philadelphia to be buried at West Laurel Hill Cemetery. Olivia Virginia Kendrick was John Ryland Kendrick's second wife. Juliette Kendrick Dudley and Frederick Allen Dudley, Jr. were the daughter and son-in-law of John Ryland Kendrick.

I believe what is written at the bottom of the photo indicated that she was buried on 13 February 1915. Juliana (Julia) Lawton Kendrick died on February 11, 1912. So, if she was buried in 1915, her remains must have been temporarily buried in NYC or otherwise "preserve" until 1915.

Again, thank you!

RE: Fetters family
Joseph Fetters 26 Sep 1811--8 Jun 1888. The death date I have for Maria is different, too. Maria Herkins Fetters 16 Dec 1819--12 May 1884. So I may be just grasping at straws. :)
