Bio and Links
Bio Photo Greetings everyone!

I have been involved in my family genealogy research since 1979. We come from all over, Canada, England, Ireland, Germany as well as throughout the US.

The family surnames that I am researching are: Barrett, French, Flesher, Oliver, Moutray, Kirk, Fish, Vanskiver, Radford, Dunn and New. Give me a hollar if any of those are familiar to you!

I am NOT a professional genealogist. I am willing to help those with questions or perhaps direct them to someone that might help, if possible.

I have been involved with Find A Grave for over 6 years and have finally settled into the area! I'm currently focusing on Arlington, St. Paul's and West Laurel Hill cemeteries.

Good luck and happy family hunting!

RE: Dyson at Elmwood
Hi Denise, thx for your kind words. So, it appears that there are 7 Dyson family members, all interred at this one plot, including David John. Regrettably, only 2 members are shown on the headstone. I 'poked' around in the hopes of finding ground markers to no avail. I also checked the Elmwood database in the event of a findagrave error, but the database shows the same location plot for all Dyson family members. I've provided a link to the database for interest. Hope this clarifies a bit more. Perhaps contacting the office at Elmwood to inquire if a ground marker exists might shed some light, but I'm pretty sure none exist. Cheers Jim

Dyson at Elmwood
Hi Denise, I noticed your last request for David Dyson and comment on the pic not being there after being notified. I'm the one who posted this and cannot explain why the photo is not there for David. I also posted yesterday a pic for David Wesley Dyson and Evelyn and it showed up. Anyway, I wanted just to drop you a note as I'm about to repost and if it doesn't show, let me know. I've experienced a few other anomalies like pic appearing sideways to some users , yet appears perfect to me. So, sorry for the troubles. I should also say that this plot has a few (3+) individuals interred at this plot, but no ground markers. I checked the area. Cheers Jim

RE: Lindamood in Crown Hill Cemetery
Hi Denise,
I'm glad you actually read my bio. Not many do before asking volunteers for photos. I added most of my photos to memorials but ran out of steam. As my bio says, I have all the photos for every memorial I have created.
I posted them on Find A Grave for you. If you want the originals, I can email them to you. Send me an email address if you are interested.

Mildred Wellbaum
You sent an edit to make some additions to Mildred Wellbaum's page. You put that Mildred died in Aurora, OR. I have to assume you got that from the Soc Sec death index. That is the only place I can find that detail.
I declined this request for that edit.
Did you know that the Soc Sec death index only says where the last place somebody LIVED was. It never says where somebody DIED. Often times people die in the same town they last lived in but not always by any stretch of the imagination.
I don't know why I cannot find her in the State of OR death index. I checked other states and don't find here there either.
I searched for her as every single person named Mildred who died in the state of OR in 1986 and there is nothing anywhere even remotely close to the name of Wellbaum. I checked for the name Mildred who died April 29, 1986 and there was only one single Mildred who died on that day and it was a Mildred Eve Moore. You don't know if that could be her? I kind of doubt it myself.
I looked her up in the cemetery index and that is where I got the date of her death from.
I looked her up in the Canby Herald newspaper index and it did not do that before when I made her page. That index says she died in Flora, IL., and that she died in Oregon City. A lot of people who lived near Canby, (Canby is right next to Aurora) were sent to Oregon City Hospital for illnesses for treatment and did not get better and died there. That is my best guess as to why Mildred died there unless she just went there to visit somebody or went there shopping or whatever.
There is an obit for her in the Canby Herald newspaper but I don't have access to that paper itself, just the index. The obit was in that paper May 7, 1986, page 5.
It still makes me real curious why Mildred is not in the OR death index. There are an awful lot of mistakes in the OR death index though.
