Thank you very much for taking the headstone photo for me. I appreciate it!

Thank you for your hard work on Find A Grave. I did want to offer a correction.
At Oak Grove Cemetery, there is a lot with John Henry Feldkamp, his daughter Margaretha Louise, who is buried with her second husband, Matthew Kusterer and two daughters Martha & Elizabeth (neither of whom married).
Also buried on this lot is Margaretha's daughter from her first married - Mary Margaret Schaible and her husband John E. Grossman along with their infant daughter Margaret.
As I am certain you are aware, there were 12 John Henry (or Johann Heinrich) Feldkamps in Washtenaw County in the 1800's. It is easy to get them confused.
The John Henry buried on this lot was married (and divorced) to Margaretha Andres (who is buried at Bethel Church Cemetery). They had ten children. One of their sons was John Henry Feldkamp 1853 - 1925 who married Maria Louisa Davidter. It is their young son Jonathan Theodore that you have connected as the son of his grandfather John Henry Feldkamp buried with the Kusterers & Grossman.
I hope this will help you make a correction to this posting on Find A Grave.
|Mike Cronk||RE: Louis M. Douglass - Whitneyville Cemetery|
So, I see that L. Ruth Thomas & Louis M. Douglas were married 27 July 1911, in Grand Rapids.
If Florence Belle Douglass was born on 10 May 1904 and died on 20 Mar 1905, was she born out of wedlock, or did she have another mother...or another father? Could she be buried under another surname, other than Douglass? Cascade Cemetery records show only one Douglass/Douglas burial...and their records also cover the unmarked graves, as well. I'm also not finding a Michigan Death Certificate for a Florence Douglas/Douglass. This all presents a mystery...and I love to solve mysteries.

I did not intentionally create the "half-sister" designation. Perhaps it is there because the girls are both linked to a mother, but only Frances Ella is linked to her father, as well.
I found Louis M. Douglass buried in Whitneyville Cemetery under the name Louis M. 'Douglas'. The photo of his gravestone shows both S's and I put in for a change and linkage, but I've currently had no response from Bob Worchester, the memorial's manager. I did add Louis' obituary from THE LOWELL LEDGER to his memorial. His memorial number is #32714471. Also, Louis is buried with his second wife, Bertha Densmore (1891-1953), whom he married 8 March 1920, in Grand Rapids, MI. It appears that Bertha had been previously married, as well.
I've also added Bertha's obituary to her 'Find A Grave' memorial.
Do you have an exact date of death for Florence Belle? If so, I might be able to find something on her in the Lowell newspapers.
And, to answer your earlier question, no I'm not related. I live about 1 mile from Cascade Cemetery and my mother's family were settled in Cascade Township as early as 1837. I take an interest in local history and the early families of the area.
|Mike Cronk||Frances Ella Douglass - Cascade Cemetery|
According to the records, Frances Ella Douglass is the daughter of LOUIS M. DOUGLASS & L. RUTH THOMAS, prior to their divorce, 24 January 1919, and Ruth's remarriage to Horace Burns, 11 May 1921. Below is the link to Frances Ella Douglass's death certificate showing her parentage.
Frances Ella Douglass is buried in the same lot as her grandparents, Edwin L. & Mary L. Thomas
I have updated the Lemanski's that you emailed me about. Roberta "Beatrice" and added Victor and linked him as her spouse.
Just wanted you to know i followed up.

I went to the cemetery and photographed the graves. When I have time, I try to research people in the cemeteries that I photograph. My relatives are mostly in other states, and others are kind enough to post photos of them, so I try to "pay it forward" by doing the same for cemeteries in Michigan. As it happens, there are a few relatives of mine buried there, so while I was there, I took photos of many of the graves.
Thanks for your note. Sorry, no relation.
