Bio

I am of Russian descent and have primarily focused my interest on the Russian Molokans. They settled on Potrero Hill in San Francisco and many are buried at the Russian Sectarian Cemetery in Colma, CA. There were Russian Molokans who settled in Southern California. They are buried in the Russian Molokan cemeteries in Commerce and Los Angeles. There are more buried in the Los Angeles area, Fresno, Kerman, San Diego and other cemeteries in Colma. There are a group that migrated to Oregon and to Arizona.

There is a Russian Molokan message board (Ancestry.com) where I have made posts of news articles, obituaries, historical information and much more.

I am a native of San Francisco, CA.

I've always liked cemeteries and hope I can help other people locate their ancestors graves. I love doing research and would be willing to help anyone with information or pictures.

I don't consider snapshots I take of a grave or a family photo I upload to be copyrighted or owned by me. I understand the importance of wanting a copy of a grave to attach to someone in your family tree. If it's been uploaded by me, I've done it to share with others. I don't mind someone copying the photos and I also have no problem emailing any pictures or documents I have that someone would like.

If I go to a cemetery, I try to take pictures of as many graves as possible and upload pictures to existing memorials or set up memorials if there isn't one, in hopes of it helping a family member locate them. I'm happy to do any updates that you want and don't hesitate to ask for transfers. Just use the Suggest a Correction link on the desired memorial. If they mean something to you, then you are probably better able to give them the best memorial possible.
