I am proud of my family and all those that have come before me and those who will come after me.|
I have been researching and putting together my family tree since 1996!
My lineage is as follows & if I created a memorial for someone noted in your family tree, please know they are in mine too.
PORTEOUS - HAVENS - KLINE & many more.
BROWN - MITCHELL - WILSON - PERKINS
HORTON - ROGERS - CRIER & many more.
NORTHRUP - PITTMAN
MANNING - SILKETT - PARMER - FREEMAN
PRICE - VAN HORNE & many more.
PLUSH - BENNETT & many more.
WHITE - GANDY - WIMBERLY - SULLIVAN
If someone has transferred a memorial to me, please do not ask to have it transferred to you. I only request those that are in my family tree and therefore will keep those.
Any memorials I have added are for the purpose of geneaology research only. Memorials are not intended as an invasion of privacy or for disrespect towards the remaining living family members of the departed.
Keep in mind the internet allows for the ability to obtain birth, marriage, & death certificates on loved one who have passed as well as obituaries. Public records are "PUBLIC".
I will be more than happy to remove a memorial. Please use the "suggestion" edit tab. " Please remove memorial for ..." request is all that is needed - NOTHING MORE! And it will be removed immediately.
If you have any questions in regards to privacy, errors, etc. - see the "Help with Find A Grave" link on the left for further assistance.

|Sue Henner||RE: We are very related|
Thank you so much Michelle! Glad I found you. I would love to see your family tree when you get it back up and send me an invite. I sent Claudia a friend request. I accepted yours of course. My husband has a cousin in Payson Arizona. We keep talking about going to visit him. Say hello to your dad and hopefully we can meet up when you come to California! I don't have any of my Dads info in a family tree. Only my moms. But after I take a look at what you have, I will see if I have any additional information that I can share with you. So glad I accidently discovered you today! Was looking for my Dad's grave and that is how I found it.

I had a feeling you might be Launies daughter. We may have met. I was at Mardells funeral with my Dad. We live in Sutter Creek and I knew that Launie lived in or near Pine Grove. Are you in this area? I too have some information on the Brown/Mitchell/Wilson family. Someone did a ton of research prior to the internet and has all the info in the Morman Church in Salt Lake City. Did you know that Evelyn Mitchell Brown traces back all the way to the Crusades. The name was Irish and came from DeIreys. I have a CD that I bought from them with all the research. Do you have a way to share the family tree with me? How can we go about getting me the information? By the way, my father Edwin's wife Sadie died about a month ago. We are taking her ashes to Fresno the end of the month for a private family gathering. I don't know if your Dad knows or not. He visited her a year or so ago. My e-mail address is: firstname.lastname@example.org. So Hello Cousin!!!
Your very welcome! I have covered Evergreen for many years and remembered seeing the surname throughout the cemetery. If you need anything else from Evergreen, please do not hesitate to ask!
Fingers crossed for you that the other volunteer will be able to find Graces headstone this weekend!
I'm sorry I couldn't find Grace's headstone, its possible that she does indeed have one, however, the section that she is buried in has yet to undergo restoration. Evergreen Memorial has been undergoing restoration for about the last 9 years or so, and her section, which is Upper Section 5, has yet to be touched. It is a disjointed, unorganized series of blocks and plots, for instance, they have block 235 right smack in the middle of block 105, etc. Also, the block map that I obtained years ago is incorrect, at times. Graves that are listed on the website as being on the East end, are in fact, located on the far West end, (sometimes, but not always.) So, when I get a request for this section, I always walk the entire section, East to West. It could be simply that I missed it, or perhaps, it is unmarked. Regardless, another photographer will be combing the area this weekend for it. Perhaps he will have better luck in finding it.
Did you know that there are 5 people buried here by the surname of Porteous? Perhaps they are your family?
Take care and good luck in your research!

I'm related to Catharine Hisem McVey. She had a daughter named Diana Who had a son named William Leonard Dickerson who had a son named William Arthur Dickerson my grandfather. My father was a Sullivan who was raised in Bakersfield, MO. My dad's family was from the Ozarks. I would love to know if you had anymore information on Catharine's family or pictures. Ahh we all love pictures and stories! Michelle do you mind if I asked you who you descend through? I've been connecting to cousins I didn't know I had through comments left on Find A Grave. I hope to hear from you if you have time! Janet Oles
|Penny Nelson Randolph||Horton / Redman|
I just double checked and they are decedents from William Horton and Mary Adeline REDMAN my grandfathers AUNT. Plus there are Horton's in Delta County because the cemetery most of my Nelson's family is buried in is called Horton and its in the community of Horton.
|Penny Nelson Randolph||RE: Horton Connection|
I am sorry I missed your message. The Horton's listed are kin to my Redman family from Arkansas/Texas. My grandmother was Lena Redman Nelson Hamric. Her father was Jessie Benjamin Redman

Thank you, Michelle!

I am wondering where the photo of Ron Horton came from? Memorial #24351507. Is he a part of your genealogy? I'm looking for a photo of him to use in a documentary that includes him, and am hoping to find someone to provide one.
|Laura B||Chesley Horton|
When I took the picture of his gravestone I noticed a Sylvia May Horton 1914-1994 located next to him I took a picture and I did not find her listed on findagrave.
