A little history on the Roselawn Cemetery! On the weekends during the 1890's, Riverside Cemetery, now known as Roselawn Cemetery, hired a wagon and liveryman to pick up Puebloans at designated business'. The riders would then enjoy the drive to the country to visit the family graves and to have a picnic. The serene park-like atmosphere still exits today! As you walk thru the cemetery, you can still see carriage stepping stones, where the people would be unloaded. I enjoy stopping in to have lunch, have a walk and watch the wildlife! I drive by this historical and beautiful cemetery everyday!
