I am happy to say, in all my years as a Find a Grave member, only twice have I been contacted by anyone who was viscous or snarky with me.
I think it must be because the majority of us share a deep love of history,
be it family history, military history, or history of a cemetery, or perhaps simply the history of a town where loved ones were born.
It seems most of us share similar traits, such as being inquisitive, sharing and compassionate. I've had memorials kindly transferred to me, without requesting them. And in return, I have done the same for others as well.
I may be wrong, but I strongly believe as an online community, we are bigger than one person's ego.
Enough said. For me, it serves as a reminder to take time out to send a big thanks to all of you who are so thoughtful , kind and caring.
I would love and appreciate headstones photos for any of my memorials that do not have them.
I do not always know when some photos are added. It maybe an exceedingly long time before I run across one that I was unaware had been added.
That doesn't mean I don't appreciate it, because I am very grateful for all of the photos, regardless of when they were added.
So, thanks again, all you kind and thoughtful people out there, because you are appreciated. You are the ones who make my day!
