Bio and Links
Bio Photo My name is Karen. I have been filling photo requests and adding memorials for cemeteries near where I live in Connecticut, to hopefully help others in their research, and to preserve a record of the older stones before they are unreadable and/or get damaged by age, weather, or vandalism.

Currently I am actively photographing cemeteries in Hebron, Gilead, Amston, Marlborough, Bolton, Andover, Columbia, Lebanon, Colchester, Glastonbury, and East Hampton (all in Connecticut). Please put in any photo requests you have...I may even already have the photos, but just haven't posted them yet.

Photo Use Permission
Feel free to use my photos in your personal research and please consider this permission to post my photos on Ancestry and other websites. It would be appreciated if you could credit me and Find A Grave. Something like "Photo credit: Karen Carlini (KC) - Find A Grave" would be wonderful! Thanks for your consideration, and I hope I've helped with your family research! :)

Corrections, Additions, and Transfers
Please email me by using the "edit" tab if you have additions or corrections to send to me, or if you are a relative that falls within the Find A Grave guidelines (or close to it) and would like a memorial transferred to you. I'm always happy to add links and bios and want memorials to be as helpful and accurate as possible!

Virtual Cemetery and Surnames
I am related to most of the people in my virtual cemetery. Some of the surnames I am researching: (north-east) Manchester, Macomber, Pettey, Tripp, Devoll, Rutter, Waltham, Gray, Briggs, Brownell, Corey/Cory, Soule/Sowle, Wodell/Wardell, Lake, Allen, Snell, and (southern) Stevenson, Childs, Chancellor, Garner, Sledge, McGinty, Reavis, Shaw, Miller, Sikes, and Boren. I'm especially interested in old photos of my ancestors and cousins. Please ask if you want more info or want to share. I'm always glad to help and always happy to hear from cousins!

RE: Martha Stevenson Owen
Hi Karen,

I do apologize for taking way too long to respond to your previous emails. My Aunt Lynelle is still living and would probably be able to answer the questions that you asked. I will get with her in the next day or two and find out and then let you know.

By the way, Martha married my dad James Owen.

RE: Rutland Cemetery
I checked with the county archives and they have no record of an Old Rutland Cemetery nor a Stevenson/Rutland Cemetery. This of course does not mean they do not exist but just have not been documented. I'll keep my eyes and ears open!

RE: Rutland Cemetery
Karen,
I appreciate your kind note. The Rutland Cemetery sits besides interstate 40 in Mt Juliet. Parts of it were moved there from the south side of I-40 as stated in the introduction of the cemetery. That area is now all developed. I will go by the Wilson Co archives this morning and look up the "Old Rutland and Stevenson-Rutland" cemeteries to see where they are.
I double checked the "other" Rutland cemetery and it seems to be an African-American place of rest. It is a little larger than the one near the interstate.
A couple of stones had been destroyed at Rutland and put next to a large tree. I looked them over closely and they were not the names you were looking for.
If you find your loved ones, let me know and I will do what I can to get the photos for you.
Dave

RE: John Wright
Good evening KC. I am sorry for my mistake I made to you. I did not see that there was 2 Joseph on the side. All I saw was John and new this was not for Joseph. John's side is very clear and faces straight at you. Other side is not clear. I do apologize for my mistake. They are my cousin's. Have Great Holidays, from Oklahoma.

Priaulx photos from Nantucket
Sure you can add them to your tree. I'd be a bit annoyed if they ended up in some sort of commercial use, but otherwise that's fine!
