If I haven't asked you already, I wonder if I may have your permission to use your cemetery and/or grave marker photos on my family website. Check it out at This is how I'd be using the photos and obituaries I find on Find A Grave, with 'used with permission' in the caption.

Thank you.

RE: Catherine Dearinger Hendrix
You're welcome. Sorry I got so long winded but between Dearingers, Hendricks/Hendrix, and Padgets etc. I wanted to keep it straight.

RE: Catherine Dearinger Hendrix
Good question...Let me see if I can get this right as it gets a bit muddy trying to keep it straight. I'll start from the bottom up.

Hezekiah Munson married Betty Burchell (my gr grandparents)

Betty's parents were William Burchell and Mary E. Dearinger (my 2nd gr grandparents)

Mary's parents were Jacob C. Dearinger and Elizabeth Padget (3rd gr)

Jacob was the son of John Dearinger and Polly Hendricks (4th gr)

Here's the muddy part - According to FamilySearch

John's parents were Jacob Dearinger and Elizabeth Hendricks.

Polly's parents were Henry Hendricks and Catherine Dearinger.

I have found several families intermarried and it's hard to follow the branches. So I think this is a case of brother & sister Dearinger marrying brother & sister Hendricks. Then their children marrying.

FamilySearch has the Dearingers going back to Urs Derrendinger (1653-1703) in Germany. I have no idea if it's correct but it might.

I have not researched it too hard as others are working on it and I'm working on other branches.

So... we are probably distant cousins and maybe through several branches.

Thanks for contacting me. This part of the family is now mostly in Michigan.
