You left a flower on my aunt's memorial, 13896524. There are two other memorials, Find A Grave Memorial# 103102609 and Find A Grave Memorial# 10083833 for Frances Elaine Goldin Schaffer. Are you sure that the first memorial is this other memorial?
I live in Georgia and have been hunting my aunt's grave. I would like to know which memorial is correct for her. Do you have any inside info?

Thank you for posting the Find a Grave memorial for my ggg-grandmother, Emily Ann Smith Whitley. I believe her parents were James M. Smith and Sarah Jenkins.

|Phyllis||RE: Noah Maples|
Ann, thank you for answering my email. Yes, I
totally agree w/your research and recording Noah
and Rebecca as the parents of Thomas and Nancy
Elizabeth. I was given a shoe box (my treasure box)about 3 years ago which contained a great deal of original documents, letters, land deeds, etc., which belonged to my great grandfather, Rev. Robert Houston Long. Also 3 pages from one of his old Bibles in this box and a handwritten history page on the Maples family. This would have been written sometime in the very late 1890's or very early 1900's, he died in 1934. He
was very ill during the last year or so of his life. When he wrote this page, he had returned from visiting the Maples' family in Missouri. He starts the page out with this:
My grandmother, Nancy, was the daughter
of old Noah Maples and Rebecca. She had a brother
named Thomas. He goes on w/great detail about the
Maples' family and their history. At two different
points in the history page, he refers to them as
his great grandparents. Rev. Robert had
visited w/a Maples family member in Battlefield,
Greene Co., Missouri, near Springfield and the other info that he writes about in the history page was given to him by this Maples' family member. Great grandfather's daughter had married Calvin Pleasant Maples, so he knew many of the family, even married many of them in Missouri. But, after I found this handwritten page and shared the info, many said he was in correct? I do not see why or for what reason, he would have written the names of Noah and Rebecca as his great grandparents?
He was born in Sevier Co.,Tn., in 1846 and they lived there untill he was the age of 11, when they
moved to Arkansas. For me, I totally believe that he is correct, however, I know many list Josiah
and Ruthea as Nancy Elizabeth Maples Long's parents? I do know that my great great grandfather, Maples Long was a namesake for his
mother, Nancy Elizabeth Maples Long. This is why
I was so interested in your research and the names of Noah and Virginia Rebecca 'Langston'
Maples. Would it be possible for you to send me
any copies of the paper/documents that you have on him? I would really appreciate it. Thank you
for your time, I do hope to hear from you again.

|Mitch Belew||RE: Rebecca Noe|
Yes they are my step family. My mother married Dood "Ben Belew". Brother to Bill and Jake Belew. My dad was Ira Lee, son of Roscoe Gibson, who was the son of Sherman and Rebecca.
|Mitch Belew||Rebecca Noe|
Rebecca Noe was also my great grandmother. Sherman and Rebecca's son Roscoe Gibson was my grandfather, and Roscoe's son Ira Lee was my father. Good to see others adding to their ancestry
Ann, there is at least one other cemetery with this problem (in Oklahoma). I'm notifying Find A Grave. Hopefully this is their glitch to fix. Janet

Ann, I mean the photo of the cemetery and the other photo of the tomb (which you credited someone else for). Not photos on the memorials. The home page of the Cemetery.
