|I was born in Pensacola, FL and grew up in Bay Minette, AL. I currently work at the University of Alabama in Huntsville on a NASA earth science satellite project as the science software manager for one of the instruments (AMSR-E) on the Aqua satellite. It's a great job. I am married to the love of my life and we have 2 teenage girls who are the light of my life.|
Genealogy is one of my many hobbies. My ancestors were some of the first settlers in Maryland, North Carolina, and Alabama. I am currently researching the following surnames:
Catrett, Conway, Clark, Robinson, Harville, Wiggins, Braxton, Hadley, Stewart, Stacey, Bryars, and Parker.

I just found some e-mails in my spam folder from find a grave alerting me to the fact you had filled some photo requests for me. Therefore not sure if I sent a thank you.......if I didn't forgive me!
You are both thanked and appreciated.

Thank you for adding the pictures. The pic of Mary Ann Childers'stone is proof that she is my husband's great great great grandmother. The court records in Giles County are wonderful.

Dawn, hope I did not duplicate. Anyway, check out the site,
When the page opens go to the left hand side and click on LEGISLATION and Laws. When that opens,
click on 'advance to next page' on the right.
Read through the laws.
Good thing to know
I sent an email, hoping to hear something soon.
THANKS SO MUCH.

|flgrl||ACCESSING CEMETERY PROBLEMS|
Dawn, Carol Young here/Catrett/Thompson/Young lineage for Stockton, Ala.
My maternal Aunt in her 80's lives in Milton,Fl.
Her mother, my grandmother, GEORGIA LUCILLE YOUNG THOMPSON is buried in Gideons Cemetery in Bay Minette. She was unable to access the burial site due to locked gates every time she had someone drive her over. I also experienced the same problem last year. No one answers at the house adjacent to the cemetery. One part of the cemetery is open, but the part where my grandmother is buried is inside THE GIDEON FAMILY CEMETERY. I used the road that is to the side and the gate was always locked.
Could you give me any advise about action to take. My Aunt was hoping to get someone to drive her over this weekend of Easter to put flowers on the grave. I live in Texas and plan to be in ALA. in June/July of this year.
THANKS SO MUCH.
