My name is Bruce D. Frail, I am the National Graves Registration Officer for the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War from 2009 to present. I am a Past Department Commander of the Department of Rhode Island serving as such from 2009 - 2013. I have certifications in Firefighting, Emergency Medical Technician, Hazardous Materials Rescue Technician, Confined Space Rescue Technician, Counter-Terrorism Instructor (on a N.B.C level and Secondary Explosive Devices) and Photography. I served in the United States Marine Corps from 1979-1983, Combat Engineer, WES-27, MWSG-27, 2nd Marine Division, MCAS Cherry Point,NC(homebase).
I am married and have three children all have graduated from college, My youngest has his Bachelors in History from Rhode Island College and is working towards his Masters, he is Co-founder of American Civil War Ancestor and is an Program Analyst for Lifespan Corporation. My middle son has a Bachelors Degree in Micro-Biology, a Bachelors Degree in Chemistry and his PharmD from Husson University and is Co-founder and President of The Progress of Medicine LLC, My daughter is a Radiography Technician with certifications in X-Ray, 32, 64 and 128 slice CT, she is employed within at Lifespan's Miriam Hospital's CT-Scan department.
I work with a team of men and women who have an interest in US history with a specialty in the American Civil War. We locate, research, record and teach about veterans of the ACW. We have to date located over 8,600 Civil War veterans in the State of Rhode Island and over 554,000 around the world to date. We will be uploading some of our data into Find a Grave through our management page with the Sons of Union Veterans of the Civil War.
