"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body.
But rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one hand, Diet Pepsi in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and screaming
'WHOO HOO what a ride!' "

To answer your questions. I am not related. I am taking information from our local paper and submitting it to the proper memorial pages.
Look at the information for Renee Schmitz 161126809. The information of his nickname is located there.
Another website you might like to see is www.nebraskaroots.com
If you need any other help in northeast Nebraska please let me know.

Yes, you are more than welcome to use the photos of Lulu McAlister & her husband John E. Taylor.
Sorry for the delay in my response. Just saw your email on April 27th.
So glad that my posting of the photos adds to your family history.
All the best!

|Carrie and Allen||RE: Sarah Dreisbach Stahlnecker (1846-1925)|
Many thanks for the correspondence. Daniel Hiram Dreisbach went by his middle name ("Herham" on the death certificate) who was married at least two and possibly three times. I may have accidentally sent the wrong links, I will resubmit through SAC. Thanks for your attention to detail, I very much appreciate your thoroughness! :-)

No as I said before, I only got the two McAlister's as I was walking towards our car to go home. I entered the other three using a spreadsheet with the listing of McKendree burials.
It's easier to make a spreadsheet and then edit and link than it is to make individual memorials. I had 10 to 15 names I wanted to enter, and just filled in the names to get my 25 people for the spreadsheet.
I'm right there with you with wanting to return to Illinois, my first trip took me almost 20 years to get there.
Here you go, check with Lynn if she knows these guys ... Information and photos contributed by Chad Parson and Frank Elam. Maybe google their names.
Chad's got a spreadsheet for the entire cemetery and he doesn't claim proprietary or copyright. Check it out
He has 1891 names. This is actually the same spreadsheet that people use to upload to Find A Grave. Don't know why he didn't do that, or maybe he didn't feel like finding the remaining 700 names. It's pretty exhausting to weed through who has and doesn't have memorials, to avoid duplications.

I have no clue who posted those headstones, I used to just copy and paste to Find A Grave, but have since learned that is a no-no. Perhaps you could contact Lynn Tooley on the web site and ask her for permission. If she doesn't want to give permission, ask her if she will do the posting. Can't hurt. I'd go back for you but I'm in California ... only got to visit that one day.
Thank you for managing the memorials. I always think that family should have them, regardless of the silly rule about transfers. If there are any other memorials that I've posted on Honoring's page, all you have to do is ask.
And when you fly half way across the country to take pictures in a cemetery, it's just plain silly to not take more than what you need. I think my Illinois/Missouri trip I came home with almost 1,000 headstone photos.
Honoring those who have gone before.

Ella, Fae and James McAlister.
Are you interested in these memorials at McKendree? Just send a transfer request through the edit button and they're yours.
All of the memorials I make that are not related are managed by Honoring.
