RE: Smith Brenda, I have not been researching my husband's family very much lately, but when I looked at the photo on Find A Grave, I understood why you had missread the name. I am disabled, and I appreciate all of the work that you do. I didn't have a good copy myself until I found one recently. Thank you very much, J. Tuverson
Carlton and Jeanette D. Smith Brenda, Thank you very much for posting a photo of my husband's grandparents, but their name was SMITH, not Symth. Could you please correct the names. Again, thank you for all of your work. J. Tuverson
Van Winkle links Hi, Brenda, I got your edit suggestions and will find time to take care of them soon, hopefully this week. With regard, to Winford, I heard someone once say, probably my grandmother, that Winford was not actually Aunt Chessie's son but that she raised him as one of her own. I don't know who else would have said that around me. I also don't know how to verify this or to track who his parents were if this is true. I have no clue who his parents might have been if not the Van Winkles. Marilyn would likely know something of this but, well, no need to get into that again. I am done barking up that tree.
