Bishop Hi! I saw you'd created the memorial for Hawkins Bishop (wife Bertha Nickell) and was just wondering, if, by chance, you are related? I'm always trying to connect with other Bishop descendants. Thank you! Nancy Bishop
Thornhill Tennessee Hi My name is Melissa Morrison, I think our trees on ancestry have crossed. My father was from Thornhill, TN. His name was Arlander Allen. His Father was Milton Allen and his mother Malissa (Melissa)Johnson. Thank you for the picture of my parents stone. (Edna Allen) What is funny, is that my dad's dad (Milton Allen)didn't know his father. His mom's last name was Allen and she never married. I think his father was Alfred Milton Myers. A.M. Myers is buried in one of the Dalton cemeteries in Grainger. His mother was a Dalton, and he reached his demise at the very young age of 20 years old. He died around the same time that my great grandmother, 16 at the time would have found out she was pregnant. I have been told that my great, great grandpa had a bad temper. He may not have known that ALfred's middle name was Milton. I have also been told that my grandpa Milton Allen was also a an ill-tempered man raised ashamed of not having a father. He actually lied to extended family saying he was actually a Howard, but took the name of the Allen family who took him in. In actuality, he didn't know who his dad was. He had no siblings. I tracked down Alfred Milton Meyers because he worked on his brothers farm, 2 farms down from my 16 year old grandmother Manerva Allen. It could be coincidence, but I'm trying to figure it out. Again, thanks!
