We both love doing genealogy and spend several hours each month in the Genealogy library near where we live. I am disabled so getting out in the cemeteries is a bit difficult for me but during the nice days we try to fulfill requests the best we can. The family names we are currently working on are May, Nelson, Pohl, Kramme, Attaway, Stephens, Jensen, and Trivers.

RE: Vet who didn't make it back
At last Saturday's O.G. Historical Society meeting I brought up your request and 2 ladies there think that there are pictures of Robert Clampitt, Lloyd Ewing and Walter Vern Perry at the O.G. Methodist Church. They were going to check it out and let me know. I hope they do because I've lost my note of who I talked with but am sure I can find out if I need to do so. What is the deadline for getting these pictures to the Odessan? If we're running out of time I might call the lady that's in charge of this project at the paper and talk with her. If we have plenty of time I'll wait a bit before proceeding.

RE: Robert Leland Clampitt
I'm sorry but I don't have a picture of Robert. I found his mother's picture in an old Oak Grove HS yearbook. I'm going to the Oak Grove Historical Society mtg. a week from today and will take your note with me and see if anyone can fulfill the request. Do you have a list of people you're looking for?

Holy cow, really? How awful. Well then, I will just send them a letter with my requests and a copy of my id. How insensitive! I am so sorry. I will continue on with my searches.

They might, or the cemetery office can be reached at 203-336-3579. It is quite a large place, and well funded and tended. They'd be the fastest way to get the info.

Hi there

This is a VERY large cemetery and they make all sorts of noises when I ask them for a location. They are much more accommodating to family members and descendants. It would help if you could get a section at the very least. It saves me from being on their doo-doo list!

Delighted to help

Albert Sheppard
Hi Cherie, So far in Adams Cemetery I find two Albert's, one is Albert L. who is an infant and Albert S. who is married to Louise. I hated to add another one so I put the infant's to your memorial. I was wondering if you would mind removing the notation about husband. If I find the one you are referring to I will send you the information or picture. Thanks for considering.

Sarah Daniel - Pleasant Garden

Wonderful Photo of Sarah Daniel headstone. However, it was attached to the wrong Sarah Daniel. Should have been on Sarah Brown Daniel, wife of James Key Daniel.

I saved a copy of your photo and then added it to the correct Sarah. Although it shows that I posted it I did give you credit for the picture. That may be seen by clicking on the image.

RE: hawley
Have you ever seen this site? It has 17 Hawley's listed in the cemetery. I checked this morning and all but the infant child of Cleveland Hawley was listed. I added that child. There is no headstone found for this child. You can look on the list to see if your female Hawley's are buried under a married name. I don't live in Nevada County but if you need anything else in the area I'll be happy to get it for you when I go visit. I try to go often. My family is from that area, parents still live there.
