Bio

Have loved doing genealogy since I was a young child maybe even as young as 8-9 years old helping my father out with his family history project I understand he started when he was 16 years old. I continue as an adult to research my own family tree as well as wanting to help others find their roots. I was born in the land of lincoln [Springfield, Illinois] where i love going through the cemeteries there particularly
because of lots of family ancestry being buried there. Both my parents were born there. My two favorite cemeteries are Oak Hill and Oakridge [where Abe Lincoln is buried] in Sangamon County there. I'm sure some of my ancestry knew him personally. Since I've been replanted years ago
I live in Maricopa County, Phoenix, Arizona area now. So I've decided I might as well start entering gravesite info from where I live now.
There are plenty of cemeteries out in the southwest area. I am planning on hitting every cemetery I can find in my area the three cemeteries I am starting on in Maricopa County is
Resthaven Park Cemetery in Glendale, Holy Cross Cemetery in Avondale and Greenwood Memory Lawn Cemetery in Phoenix. All are in the Maricopa area.
I love genealogy as a hobby. I guess for me it's not really a hobby. It's my life's mission to help other people find their family members. And this website is such a great way to connect with others who are helped by contributing the gravesites info. What can I say? I must have eaten the apple off the family tree.
