Hi, I am a retired art teacher and live in the Wausau, WI area. I have been interested in family history for about 30+ years. It started when I was given a large box of old family photos and "notes" that a family member had collected to write a family history. However, she passed before she was able to get everything organized.
I had been photographing family graves for many years, but several years ago I discovered Find A Grave and realized that others were doing the same. Although most of my photos are from my and my husband's family, I recently added others from cemeteries where I have ancestors buried.
My ancestors are spread out all over the U.S. and Europe so naturally I am unable to go to all the cemeteries. Find A Grave has really helped me locate graves and add info to my family tree.
