I noticed your request on the memorial you created for Hazel Mae TenBroeck Curtis - you posed the question: "Anyone who might know his (her first husband, Mr O'Hara) first name please contact me." Her 2nd husband's name was Walter J O'Hara
BIRTH 9 MAY 1918 • Copake, Columbia, New York, USA
DEATH 3 NOV 1986 • Pittsfield, Berkshire, Massachusetts, USA. I did not notice a "Find A Grave" memorial for him. I also looked through your previous messages and did not notice a past response to this question.
I retrieved my information from Hazel's obituary online, SOURCE: http://southberkshires.com/obituaries_new.php?ob_id=7421
Thank you for all of your contributions and continual diligence in making this website a success - have a blessed holiday :)
|Eddie T||Margaret Flynn Williamson|
My great -great grandfather, Thomas Joseph Flynn , came to Manhattan circa 1867/68 from Ireland. His death certificate lists his parents as William Flynn and Jane Russel/Russell.
Thomas was born circa 1846. I have yet to locate the specific place in Ireland where Thomas was born. My Aunt believes that he was from the north of Ireland . Although he married an Irish Catholic girl in New York and had his children baptized Catholic, my Aunt seems to think that Thomas may possibly have been a Protestant, although I have not seen any evidence of that, as he is buried in Calvary Cemetery in Queens, NY.
Also, my Aunt seems to think that some family friend ,had years ago said that the Flynns may have been from Sligo ( again, no evidence of that).
I had corresponded a few years ago with a woman from Chicago who was a descendant of Margaret Flynn Williamson She sent me a copy of a letter that stated that Margaret Flynn Williamson was from Riverstown ,Ireland. As far as I now, the three most well known towns named Riverstown, in Ireland are located in Sligo, Cork and Tipperary, respectively.
I see that you list Margaret Flynn Williamson as being from County Donegal. I was curious as to where you obtained the information regarding her origin in Ireland.
Although both Flynn and Russell are common surnames in Ireland, in terms of age, my Thomas Joseph Flynn was 4 or 5 years younger than your Margaret, and both had parents of William Flynn and Jane Russell. Donegal is certainly in the north of Ireland, so that would match the family rumour that Thomas was originally from the north of Ireland. It is possible that Margaret and Thomas were siblings.
Any insight into the Donegal connection for your MArgaret would be greatly appreciated.

I photographed three stones for Carneys in this cemetery, but do not know which photos to match with which memorials you've created (if any). Please add more information to memorials that you want and I will upload one of these photos to match.
Listed on one stone:
Richard A., 1905-1977
Patricia C. Morton, 1940-2014
Joseph Murray, inf., 1950
Mary Kelly, inf., 1962
Richard H., 1882-1950
Mary C. Stickles, 1882-1971
Rose Regina, daughter, d. 1912, aged 9 mo
John R., 1902-1980
George C., 1913-1997
Madalyn Fuller, 1917-2002
And the third:
John Sr, 1850-1930
Margaret Tracy, 1851-1939
(erected by his son William J and Pauline C Carney)
|Dee NY||RE: EDWARD R. SPEER|
When I got the info from the office back in October, they gave me this location. (I went back and double checked too...)
Since then, the cemetery has put up an online internment search. I just checked it and there is a John Speer d.1921 and Grace Minor d.1970 listed at this plot location. There is no Edward R Speer listed on the website. (I checked with several spellings). It may be that since the online search is fairly new, Edward isn't listed yet.
You might want to call the office and confirm Edward it buried in this plot.
If I can help in any other way, please let me know.

|Sarah Pullen ||Possble Duplicate #95589802 Sally Truesdell Becker|
There may be another duplicate grave for Sally (Truesdell) Becker.
The other memorial is Sarah (Truesdell) Becker #11200444. She was married to a David Lauson Becker and the dates seem to match. Thanks.
|Sarah Pullen ||Possible Duplicate Memorial|
Thanks for all the research you do, it is much appreciated. Just wanted to see if you wanted to check this possible duplicate memorial. You have Sarah Becker #95590987.
There is another Sarah Becker #138618712 that I think may be the same person. Thanks.

I am transferring to you additional memorials I thought you would like to have from Rosendale Cemetery. I was going through the cemetery records and found them.
|Constance Moore Andrews||RE: Elizabeth Decker|
You are very welcome. I did not realize that Elizabeth was on the same stone as Conrad C Decker. Conrad is my 4 times great grandmother's brother. (She is Susan Decker Sigler) They are all in the same Family plot area. I'm so glad that I could help. Sincerely, Connie Moore Andrews
