He was married to Elizabeth Ann Sistrunk of Dallas from 1982-2001 and they had two children John Michael (b:1984) and Matthew Thomas (b:1985). They attended Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. He was married to Rosie Dela Cruz of Manila, Philippines from 2011 until his death. Michael and Rosie attended St. Joseph Catholic Church in Richardson, TX and Chapel of the Eucharistic Lord in Manila, PH. He worked for C&P Telephone (now Verizon) from 1968-79, DSC (now Alcatel-Lucent) from 1979-96, Samsung from 1996-2002, EDS (now HP) from 2006-2009, and taught college at DeVry and ITT Tech from 2002-2011. Michael enjoyed travel, computers, music, genealogy, and shortwave ham radio. His death was Liver Cirrhosis due to Methotrexate prescribed for Psoriatic Arthritis. Michael loved life and enjoyed helping and teaching others.
