I was born and raised in Barberton, Ohio. I am living in Texas now, where my two adult children reside, and my two grandkids. I am busy most often, but will do my best to find graves and markers in my spare time. My mother is Ivy (Godbey) Blair, who sadly passed away Feb. 17, 2008, and my dad was Dorsey L. Blair, who passed in 1979. I have two brothers and a sister that reside in Ohio. I have MANY relatives that are buried in West Virginia and NE Ohio. |
ALSO...I am not on here full time, and occasionally make some errors. I'll fix them as you send them, but I am sure it won't be immediate. I try hard to be accurate from records mom left, and others I speak with.
Good luck on your search, email me if I can help.
Feel free to stop in and leave some flowers for mom. (Ivy Blair-Godbey)...she had such a good heart, I miss her every day.

Yes, always great to meet another branch of the good ole family tree!

Maybe you can help me with the burial site of Esta Godbey. His death certificate said he died in Logan County and buried in the Lester Cemetery. Do you know which one he is buried in? I found several listed around that area. Also, I down loaded pictures to Esta and Erma's memorial this weekend. Can you take a peek and see if you can identify their children?
Thanks so much!

I am related to Edward and Lillie thru their daughter Bertha. I have very little information on the Godbey family. Do you have any family information that you would be able to share about this family?
Thanks so much!

Cheryl, I believe I can provide you with info on the above subject. Just let me know that your out there and a e-mail address that is more private.
The Shinnston Masonic Cemtery is pretty big. My wife and I have searched it several times for the names you have requested. The trouble is the cemtery staff WILL NOT help non family members find grave sites. They in fact "brag" about having banned several people already from the cemetery. We will be happy to contiune our search but it would help greatly if you can contact the staff and request the area or description of how to find the marker you can email me the info. So far they have been very helpful in helping family members find the grave sites.
