In 2006 I googled my mother's name and found her on Find a Grave--this was a joyful day for me. Of course, I had to find everyone else! It took awhile after joining (initially to place 'flowers' on their memorials) before really understanding enough to make memorials myself. This I began in 2011, starting with my darling husband. Was involved as a bereavement facilitator for my church (right after Ken's death) - am very aware of the needs of the grieving to tribute their loved ones. Find a Grave is a wonderful place to do just that. Am also quite experienced in the pain which insensitive/unthinking people can inflict. (Am presently not actively facilitating--although I still find myself helping with grief issues any where I happen to be.) |
My direct family lines are through Fonnesbeck, Duval, Gerbet, and Bissegger families.
My husband's direct family lines are Pitcher, Jorgensen, Plowman, and Barrett.
And many, many more before!
However, I am fascinated by all.
Have found several loved ones and friends through findagrave and am thoroughly hooked on helping to make all of our searches more satisfying, productive, educational and just plain fun!

Your very welcome.
|Lynn Fischer||Larkin Sunset Gardens Cemetery photographs|
Thank you so very much for your kind words. I try to treat every single marker photograph I take like it belonged to a member of my own family. My goal with the Larkin Cemetery is to eventually photograph every single marker, one row at a time (if I live that long!).
|Cemetery Walker||RE: Beth Barbisan|
I would gladly transfer ownership of Beth's memorial to her daughter if she is on Find a Grave. I am no relation and only add names and info so other people can find their loved ones memorials.

Thanks for the information on Beth. I added it to the memorial. Are you related to her? I found her parents graves and connected her to them as well and added her obituary.

|Ellis & Lynn||RE: Lana Fern Taylor Peterson|
Thanks for the heads up. My neice was helping with some of these and confused Fern with her mother, probably because of Lana and Taylor. That unfortunate error is corrected.

Pat, Merry Christmas! I just saw the nice postings on Jay's Memorial. I was not even aware that he had passed and has a place in Arlington. Are you related to that family? My mom was a cousin, and my sister is now at Fairwinds with his sister.
Happy New Year to you and yours!

|Jeanne||RE: John Kuchenbecker|
I did go ahead and fill it in so nobody else wonders until I get it transferred. It may be awhile before she is ready for it.
