Bio and Links
I was born in Altoona, Etowah County, Alabama. I am a retired Mil/Civ pilot. I now live in north central North Carolina with my wonderful wife Pat. Our kids and grandkids all live nearby, so you can see I'm enjoying my retirement. I have been interested in genealogy for about 15 years now and are interested in the following names; Beasley, Henderson, McCain, Phillips, Case, Gleaton, and Padgett. I think this is a wonderful, useful, and needed website.A lot of names I add are not related. I try my best to make sure the information I enter is correct. If you see something that needs correcting, please let me know. My desire is to help others view a family member's grave.

Beulah Beasley Lancaster
Good morning Joe, hope you and your family are doing well. You have a picture on your website of my Grandmother Lancaster. She's sitting down and looks to be in her late teens or early twenties. Was there a date on the photo?

Thanks,
I.B. Jr.

Memorial # 54800170
Hello Joe,
Thank you so much for all of your additions to findagrave.
While searching for Wray family members I found your memorial # 54800170 for Brian K Wray – his headstone has Bryan – will you please correct his given name.

Joe Terry Wray first wife was Pamela Franklin, a sister of my son-in-law. Joe Terry Wray married Pamela Franklin on 9 Jun 1973 – they divorced – Pamela Franklin-Wray is the mother of Terri Joyce Kilgo of Boaz, Ala and Laura Elizabeth Wray of Gadsden, Ala mentioned in the following obit.

Columbus Ledger-Enquirer - Jan 8, 2005
Joe Terry Wray
Joe Terry Wray October 3, 1954- January 6, 2005 SALEM, AL— Joe Terry Wray, 50, of Salem, Ala., passed away Thursday, Jan. 6 at his home.
Funeral services will be held 3 p.m. EST Sunday, Jan. 9 at Vance Memorial Chapel, Phenix City, with the Rev. David Rozelle officiating. A private burial will be in the family cemetery in Shores, Tenn. The family will receive friends Saturday from 6 to 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
Mr. Wray was born Oct. 3, 1954 in Lebanon, Tenn., son of the Lonzo David Wray and Mary Haskins Wray. He was preceded in death by his parents and an infant son Bryan Keith Wray.
{this should read: an infant brother – Joe Terry Wray was born in 1954 and Bryan K Wray was born and died in 1961 so there is no way that Joe Terry Wray is the father of Bryan K Wray; Joe Terry Wray and Bryan K Wray are brothers and sons of Lonzo David Wray - Peggy Pickens-Trojan} He was employed in transportation for over twenty years.
Mr. Wray is survived by his wife, Judy Louise Wray of Salem, Ala {his second wife – Peggy Pickens-Trojan}. Survivors other than his wife include two daughters, Terri Joyce Kilgo of Boaz, Ala., and Laura Elizabeth Wray of Gadsden, Ala.; three step-sons, Dallas Johnson of Columbus, Clayton Johnson of Columbus, and Darrel Johnson of Columbus; one sister, Lisa Ann Wray of New Bern, N.C.; one brother, Mark Anthony Wray of Box Springs, Ga.; grandchildren, Kayla, Kaitlyn, Karly and Jayce; lifelong friend, Ken Hull. Flowers will be accepted or donations may be made to the American Cancer Society.

RE: Jane (Moss) Beasley
I looked through the book I have, and there is no record of Jane Beasley in it. However, I've noticed on here that there are a couple of records for a Beasley Cemetery in Cherokee County that is not listed in this book. It could be a private family cemetery, or an area no longer marked as a cemetery. Best of luck to you, wish I could be more help.

Merry Christmas!
