Bio Photo Hi! My name is Janet and live in Montana but grew up in Indiana. I am married going on 29 years this August. I recently lost my dear mother and best friend and been having a hard time but knowing she is with my Dad and the Lord helps. I have two children. Our daughter lives in Montana and recently got engaged to a nice young man from Canada. Our son was helping take care of my mother with me before she passed away and decided to keep living in Indiana. I love Find A Grave and most of the people are very sweet and kind. Thank you all for your time to leave flowers or kind words, it really means a lot!

LaRue Jacob TRUAX
Hello Chinook. I saw that you have LaRue Jacob Truax as your 6th great grandfather. He is likely also MY 6th great grandfather as well and I am descended from his daughter Elizabeth who married Jacob Wink who is listed in the Daughters of the American Revolution database.

I am looking for additional information linking my line to the Wink and Truax families and would love to correspond with you.

thx,

RE: Thank you so much!!
No problem. My wife and I were trying to clear up the photo request for Sumption Prairie Cemetery. We found a few that we were looking for but now need the help of the Sextant. Maybe next week we can get back at it.

You will have to name the cemetery, his name is not pulling up.

Hi Janet, Could you please add your Mexican War cemetery plaque photo to Alexander's page 149440609. He does not have a grave stone. Thanks so much, Dee

Maude Dawley
Thank you for transferring Maude's memorial to me. She was the third wife of Victor Dawley. His second wife, Minnie Smitchger Dawley, my grandfather's older sister, died of a stroke in 1964. This sunset marriage no doubt made both of them very happy with their love of travel. Uncle Vic, as we called him, loved to go to craft shows featuring glass blowing, his favorite hobby during his retirement. I only met Maude a few times, but she seemed a kindly lady. If not for your work, I would not know what happened to her since I moved out of Indiana many years ago.

Thank you. I understand and I'm happy to help. Hopefully one of these days the documents will be found.
