Bio

My name is Lee, I live in Jacksonville, Florida. I am a widow and have two children and three grandsons. I recently lost my mother, Jean Carolyn Lee Hooks on April 3, 2006, and that is what brought me back to this site. I had forgotten that I entered my dad on this site several years ago. My oldest sister got me interested in old cemetaries several years ago, when she was building our family tree.

My sweet mother fought a long, hard, and very brave battle with cancer. She passed away at home with all of her children around her. She was always referred to as a true Proverbs 31 woman by her pastor. It wasnt until after she passed away that we began to learn of the many, wonderful, unselfish things she has done all her life. The only way I can get through each day is knowing I will see her in Heaven one day.

We, just this week, 9/4/2006, lost our father. He is in Heaven with our mother now and that is the only thing that consoles us. He is out of pain and walking upright and pain free.

I lost my sweet husband of 26 years on December 8, 2007, this loss still has me reeling. My husband was a wonderful, caring, loving husband and father. He is missed by everyone in our family and the loss is greatly felt every day. From the things he did, to his humor that could make you laugh when you just didnt feel like it, this tremendous loss will be felt for a very long time.
