I was born Newberry, SC. When I was seven months old, my parents relocated to Columbia, SC. I'm the last child of six. Both my parents and two of my siblings are deceased. I'm a descendant of the Leitzsey's, Suber's, Koon's and Livingston's from the Newberry, SC area. The picture above is of my maternal grandparents, Charlton Levi and Addie Melvina Koon Livingston. The lady on the right is Ida Irene Koon, Addie Melvina Koon Livingston's sister.|
My paternal grandparents were Arthur Gibbs and Minnie Lee Suber Leitzsey.

Hi Sue. I served with her son Lanny in the North Carolina National Guard. I had great admiration for his parents. All great people.

Thank you so much for the quick correction!
|Jeff Lovelace||Appreciate you|
I don't get to tell you in person and I don't tell you enough online how much I appreciate you. My memorials would be a lot less complete without all of the countless hours you spend assisting me. You already know how much my family means to me, but you also need to know you mean a lot to me as well.
My warmest wishes go out to you dear.

I will have to ask mom...I am not sure if she knows either...I will get back with you on that one.

Thanks A Bunch, I really appreciate it.
Got your message today. Been tied up all day, but I wanted to get this note off to you before I retire for the evening.
First, C. L. Howell from Coldwater, Mississippi, does not fit into my family line. I do not know anything about him or how he is related to my Howell's. If he and his wife, Lula were born in NC, then it's probable they are some other branch of my family.
I added Emma Howell Dilling's DOD to her memorial; thank you for that addition.
Robert Lee was the second child of John J. Howell and Nancy Sparrow. He had two children: Selvy and Buford.
I ran into John Grier Howell one day last week, but he doesn't seem to fit in either. Tell me the link if you know of one.
Lillie Howell doesn't show up as married. I do have a child listed for her though. Born out of wedlock perhaps...Hazel, (Mrs. Cole A. Means.)
You seem to have found her listed as widowed, so I am going with your answer. It could be true though, that she did not take a husband. That appears to be what I have on her. I don't know where she lived from 1900 - 1930, but you found her final resting place, which is a crucial piece of the puzzle.
Thanks for all your digging!
