Bio and Links
Bio Photo I am the mother of two beautiful children, my daughter born in 2006 and my son born in 2009. I am a Registered Nurse on the Obsevational Unit at the local hospital working night shift. I just finished my Bachelor of Science in Nursing Degree in August 2013 and working on the application process for graduate school.

In my spare time I work on entering information in Find A Grave, taking photos or working on my genealogy. I also scrap book, knit and crochet and build miniature dollhouses with my children.. My blog is dedicated to genealogy at www.confessionsofageneaholic.blogspot.com. Please feel free to stop by.

I've been doing genealogy research since I was about 13 years old. I become more involved in my research when I met my mother-in-law in 1999 and she showed me her copy of family tree maker. Since then my research has grown from a few dozen names to over 2200 names in my file. I am currently researching the following names for my family tree:
Fitzgerald, Wood, Lardie, Fant, Empey, Kirby, Loomis, Courtad, Valley, Courtade, Crain/Crane. Feel free to check out my personal website at www.alannafant.traibalpages.com or my blog at
www.confessionsofageneaholic.blogspot.com

I have been active in the local genealogy society in the past but have taken a break over the past couple years due to family and school, but my genealogy has never strayed too far away. I was very active on the board of the genealogy society helping with many projects and holding the publicity chair and vice president positions on the board.

Please feel free to email me with additions or corrections to a burial that I have added. I am slowly adding more biographical information to my ancestors as I come across it in my research.

Joseph Grimes
Hi! Thanks for the message my husband passed away a couple weeks ago so didn't get your message till now. I forwarded it to my son-in-laws mother to see if she knew you she is researching the Grimes as her husband and my son-in-law are related to them. Are you related to the Grimes family? I see your searching the Fitzgerald Family in sullivan Co, Pa. the web site has a lot on them and if you message me the name I might have something on these families if your doing the ones in Pennsylvania. It might take me a few days as I'm still dealing with everything. RE: Bridget Maloney
Thanks for quick reply.

My info is from a printed booklet titled:

JAMES DONOVAN (DONAVAN)
A native of Clonakilty, County Cork Ireland
Born 1800 Died July 15, 1875

Mary Austin, the wife of James Donovan
A native of Clonakilty, County Cork Ireland
Born 1804 Died February 2, 1884

Their Family Tree"

in the possession of my daughter-in-law.

Only two Maloney's I see as your entries are:
Maloney, James 137824880
1865 - 1866
Maloney, Joseph 137825313
Unk 1898

While they are not dirct ancestors of my grandchildren, they are both mentioned in booklet above.

So, if you don't mind, transfer both to me so I can keep the 'clan' together for my grandchildren.

Thanks

RE: Rhea Brief
Yes, I'll take the transfer IF you don't mind.
We still have to get you a straight line from your grandparents back through GGG grandparents (Robert Flees,Grandfather?)
You know that Gene Novak insists that Thomas Flis Sr.and John B. Flees Sr. were brothers or close relation. Thomas Flis Sr. never came to the US, all his children did.
In Prussia(Germany) they were living about 75 km.
apart circa 1860. My great grandfather kept track of all Flees/Fleese people but never knew why. So were these people all related to Maxamilion Flees? Maybe less than six degrees of seperation? Dana

Samuel C. Carey
# 18505058 I believe this is Samuel Garey. He is listed in the 1880 Federal Census in Kasson Twp with his spouse, Jennie, and a number of children. Jennie is buried at St Philip's in Empire.

Alanna, how are you related to the Simonis family. John Simonis was my 3x grandfather. My 2x grandfather Frances Pahl married two of of his daughters. When Mary died in 1857 he married Magdalena.
