Twenty-five years ago a friend told me she had a new hobby, genealogy, and how much fun she was having. I immediately contacted my mother who informed me that we owned three family Bibles. I have been deep into this ever since. I started with my mother's family in Loudoun County, VA. Her parents were third cousins, a fact she did not know. Of course I added my father's family, my husband's family, and both my daughter-in-law's and son-in-law's families. Then by adding wives, mothers, sisters, brothers, ancestors, descendants, I have ended up with a database of about 37,000. All are related to me or to someone I am related to.
Most of my time has been spent in Loudoun County, Virginia. I wrote two books on Union Cemetery in Leesburg, a book on Monocacy Cemetery in Bealsville, Montgomery County, MD, Death Records of Fairfax County, VA, and co-authored books on the Death Records of Loudoun County, VA and Marriages after 1850 in Loudoun County, Va. I have also been involved in the preparation of Cemetery Books published by Thomas Balch Library. All of these books are available through Heritage Books.

I am more than happy to share any information I have. My cemetery pictures are there for anyone who needs them. They have been taken over the last 19 years. I will ask that you let me know if you are using a family picture because that means you are probably at least a cousin and I want to know you.

If you see errors, please let me know. Let's get all these people linked! But PLEASE everyone, use the Edit button on the memorial that needs changing! It takes about 2 minutes to make changes using that button. It can take 1/2 an hour or more to find the memorial you would like changed, if you don't use that button, and often I cannot be sure if I am looking at the correct person even then. In that case I may spend an hour or more looking. That takes away from someone else's time. Be fair!

RE: Everett and Grace Baggett
I did notice. I'm not sure why it's spelled with an "o" because everyone else in the family used the "e". But I do appreciate having the photos. They are definitely the correct ones. I'll have to do a bit of "digging" and see if I can find out why there is a spelling difference....

RE: Mabel Lee Walton
Thank you, Betty...
You are very kind to transfer the memorial. I will make sure that Mabel Lee's memorial is well maintained...With information that is both accurate and appropriate. It may take me some time to prepare the content...I will let you know when updates have been made. Again...thank you.

RE: Mabel Lee Walton
Mabel Lee is a sister...a sorority sister...Sigma Sigma Sigma, a national sorority, which is headquartered at The Mabel Lee Walton House located at Woodstock, Virginia. Mabel Lee was a longtime national president of the sorority, 1913-1947. On Saturday, May 3, there will be a graveside commemoration of her life and service to the sorority followed by a rededication of Walton House. I was hoping that Mabel Lee's legacy might be included on her Find A Grave Memorial... Perhaps we can work together to make that happen...?

Are you related to or affiliated with Mabel Lee Walton? If not would you consider transferring Find A Grave Memorial #134091274...?
