Hi John
thanks for adding a memorial for my brother. You almost made it a birthday present for him as his dob was December 19, 1938. Please feel free to add it.
He wasn't buried and his remains are in some park on the upper west side overlooking the Hudson. wish I could tell you more but I don't recall its name.

Grand Army of the Republic
RE: Daniel Harrington

Unfortunately your Daniel Harrington who died in 1912 and is buried in St. Joseph Cemetery in Lynn, MA is not the Medal of Honor Daniel Harrington of the USS Pocahontas. Your Daniel Harrington served as a 2nd Class Boy aboard the USS Ohio, San Jacinto Macedonian and Princeton. He enlisted in the Navy on Nov. 21, 1860 and was discharged May 22, 1863.

The Medal of Honor Daniel Harrington enlisted in the Navy on Oct. 9, 1860 also as a 2nd Class Boy aboard the USS Ohio, Cumberland, Pocahontas and served through the Civil War and post war years rising up the ranks on other ships. His last known address was Malden, MA in 1885.

Definitely two different sailors.

Sorry to trouble you,

Karl - Grand Army of the Republic

This information is wrong, and I wish you would fix it. Elaine Egersheim was my grandmother and Joseph Creighton Jr. was my uncle.

Your entry for William W. Dinsdale
William W. Dinsdale, findagrave #117101039 does not have his parents findagrave connection. I have his mother's if you'd like to add it to his memorial. His mother was Alice Bairstow Dinsdale (my great aunt). Her findagrave # is 69302522. I suspect his father must be buried near his mother but I'm not sure. Thanks! Dot
