I started taking photos of my family graves in Manteo Cemetery, and sort of dropped the ball. I got the bug again a couple of years ago. It bothers me that so many people have no marker other than that provided by the Funeral Home. With modern methods, those are becoming shorter-lived than wooden crosses. If we don't document the graves of those whose families can't afford a marker, or shamefully turn their backs on their dead when they can well afford one, we will lose that part of their families to generations who WILL care about them.

My photos may be used for your own personal use (Ancestry, etc.). They may not be used in any publication without my permission.
