Bio and Links
Bio Photo Hi,

I have been researching my family tree since way back in the 1970's, starting out doing it the hard way; lots of legwork. Now the internet has made a lot of it easier.

I have always enjoyed walking through old cemeteries and looking at the old stones. If you'd like a picture of a friend's or relative's grave near me, please let me know and I'll see if I can do it for you. Please let me know as much information as possible, like obvious things like cemetery name, location, etc, but also the plot numbers and other names associated with the person you are interested in.

I love history. Family names I am searching include Wismer, Wagner, Dunlap, Kirby, Lietke, Johnson, Sprout, Herrington, and Sweet among others.

I live just outside of Lake Odessa, Michigan, so I spend a lot of time at Lakeside Cemetery, where there are thousands of graves!

If I fulfill a photo request for you and you want the original pictures, please feel free to ask for them. Generally they are larger and of a higher quality than what is posted on FAG.

Thanks!

RE: Mariah Ainsworth
Hi Alan.... I'm sorry for the long delay in responding, I'm still learning all the ins and outs of find a grave and just found your message. :(

Yes, my husband Rick Ainsworth, is the gggrandson of Robert Ainsworth through Robert's son Fred.

Robert had 4 wives. First wife Katie Letts died young leaving Robert with 3 young children to care for. Mariah was wife #2, she however died in childbrith - child also died. Margaret was the 3rd wife and the "grandma" that the children and grandchildren knew. 4th wife was Julia.

thank you for your willingness to transfer Robert and Mariah over to me. I appreciate it!

Forestville Cemetery
Thank you for posting the information on the Graichen family buried there. Heinrich Graichen and Ernestine Graichen nee Scheffler are my great great grandparents. I have yet to visit the cemetery, or even Michigan, but do hope to one day.

Roger.

RE: John Dailey 1838-1872
Also, Jeanette's records are correct regarding parents of John and Oliver Dailey...so she needn't worry.

RE: John Dailey 1838-1872
Hi Alan,

Obviously, I made a mistake, as your John Paul Dailey was born before Thomas Jefferson Dailey, so there's no connection.

(It took me a bit of back tracking to figure this out because I have also made another memorial for a Thomas Jefferson Daily, birthdate similar and living in Allegan co...but I think I've figured it out now.)

Thanks,
Laura

RE: Hezekiah Dodge
Hi, Alan -

No, I am not related to Hezekiah Dodge - my husband, Norman Dodge is president of the Dodge Family Association, I am the secretary.

We are retired and spend our time helping others finding and researching their Dodge genealogy as well as contributing to Find A Grave and keeping Dodge genealogy databases that have more than 110,000 names.

I cannot tell you who Frederick Dodge is precisely - I don't have his birth, marriage, death dates and places, nor do I have that type of information for Elizabeth Corbin.

But I do know he and Elizabeth Corbin are the parents of Hezekiah Dodge, due to Hezekiah's death record in Michigan - it clearly states Hezekiah was born in New York and the names of his parents.
