I'm a retired grandma who is really hooked on genealogy and this Find A Grave site. I was born in Memphis, Tennessee and lived there until I was 14. I then lived in South Carolina until I was married. I have lived in Clermont County Ohio ever since. My ancestors come from Mississippi and Alabama and a lot of records were lost in the South during the Civil War. It has been a real challenge tracing my family. But I will keep trying!|

My wife Jennifer is descended from Joel & Nancy Galbreath's daughter Susan. Susan died in her 20's and had one daughter, Vanie Leola Simpson (my wife's great-grandmother). Susan's husband John Simpson later married Susan's sister Tense. Nancy, Tense, John and Vanie are all buried at Livingston Chapel. However, we haven't been able to find Joel or his daughter Susan. Joel served in Company D of the 25th Alabama Infantry and died in 1865. Therefore, his death was likely a casualty of war. He may not even be buried in Alabama. It's even possible that he was buried with no marker. If there is a record of his burial, we'd love to find it. Thank you!

Your memorial 16718323 for this person...by any chance was her maiden name Hargett. I have a person in my tree by that name. She was born in Kentucky and died in Ohio.

I visited Livingston Chapel UMC Cemetery today to look for Joel Galbreath (my wife's ancestor), but I was unable to find him. His wife Nancy Galbreath is there, but if he is there, then I overlooked him. He was a Confederate soldier who died during the war. I was wondering if you have any other information about him that might help in locating his final resting place.
Thank You for the transfer, much appreciated.

Linda, I am not kin to the Galbreaths and McClellans. I am researching for my daughter's mother-in-law. These are her great, and great-great grandparents.
Linda, could you please link Harriet Galbreath McClellan #16611602, with her parents, Joel and Nancy Galbreath. Thanks.
Linda, could you please link Joel Galbreath, memorial #16284803 to his wife Nancy Ruth Galbreath, Memorial # 16446508. Thanks, Billie Greene
