I live in Central Illinois and I have been researching my family tree for about 10 years now. My interest in researching my family started with an 8th grade English project and also a love of history.
About 25% of the people I entered on here are related to me. If you have a connection to anyone I have entered, please leave me a message, we could be related.
Also contact me if you have any additions or corrections to any memorials I have added. If you would like me to transfer ownership of memorials, contact me with your Find A Grave # and I will switch it for you.

In checking tomb stone for Mary Diehl wife of Noah Diehl that is buried in Round Grove Cemetery,you have her death a different date than is on the headstone? Is there a reason for this?
|Judy Campbell||Goodfarm Cemetery|
Jen, Thank you for your work on this. I have been taking my family on the "plot tour" of Goodfarm Cemetery for decades. Yesterday I discovered this website. I never knew my Great Great Grandmother's maiden name. I did not know that her father, Johann Phillip Konrad was also buried at Goodfarm. I also learned that when the Simantels (Maria was Johann's daughter) arrived in this country they had at least three children. The website says they had seven children. I was able to locae five at Goodfarm:
Maria Simantel Reinlasoder (My Great Grandmother.)
Elizabeth Simantel Miller
Do you have information about the other two children? I have a picture of George Simantel taken we think at his 90th birthday with 84 other people. I also have a list of names of the those people. My mother's cousin, Millie (Fuzz) Horn, was a child when the picture was taken and she gave the names to my mom, Louse Roost Foss.
Please let me know how to contact you. I also live in central Illinois.

Are you related to the Diehl's. Mary was wife of Noah Diehl. She was born 6 May 1834 in Greenfield Twp, Bedford County, Pennsylvania. They were the parents of 11 children. After Mary died Noah married a widow, Sara Rogers and after her death he married Annie Jennie Beatty.
Noah Diehl was born in Friends Cove, Lancaster, Pennsylvania 23 Jun 1829
D: 29 Dec 1919
He is to have been buried in Round Grove Cemetery

Thank you so much for both of Homer A. Kenyon's headstone photos; one for his Civil War Service, and a second one providing his birth and death dates. It doesn't get any better than that!
