I trust we are thankful for the love of the departed, the sacrifice of patriots and the faith of God's people who have now gone to their reward. We pay respect to the dead because their life has touched ours and we are better because they lived. As we reflect on and remember the lives of those who are now dead, we are moved to... in turn... touch the lives of others in good ways.

I don't believe you have to be blood related to have ties. Most of the Memorials I manage are relatives - some very distant. If I manage one you have ties to and want to take care of, ask me for a transfer. I may ask you why you want the transfer but I will NOT ask you to prove anything to me. These Memorials are not owned by anyone nor should anyone feel an entitlement to them. We are simply stewards...

I have found most... people to be kind and reasonable...most... I've learned that greed, egos and personal agendas are qualities that do not win friends...qualities that don't impress me.

My wish is to honor those who have gone before us. Those who were loved...or not so loved, those who were someone's son or daughter; those who helped build this great land we have the privilege of living on during our life; those who so valiantly fought and served this Country so we may be free; and, those who lived on after the death of their loved one. If I can honor them, then I feel a sense of accomplishment...if not for the dead, then for future generations. My hope is that I have made a positive difference...

Genealogy is a passion of mine. Daddy and I used to walk the land and he began taking me to the old cemeteries where he knew so many of those who had passed. Then Mother and I would take a day to walk through the graves of her long ago relatives. I took along my ‘polaroid' camera snapping photos of many of the older graves never dreaming that I would one day post them on a wonderful "FREE" site known as Find A Grave.

May God Bless You and May God Bless the USA.
