Joanne, one of her husbands was Fred Havens Jr. They had a son Michael L Havens. He rolled a military jeep in Georgia and broke his neck in 1972. I think the Ring was Ronald Ring, i was hoping you knew his first name. Thanks, Take Care, DeWitt

Hi: I was wondering if you could transfer the Kelly Reed memorial page to me? His page # is 106993850. He would be my 2nd cousin. My Find a Grave # is 47667990.

Hello, i was wandering if you knew who Patricia Byrd was married to? Also did you know Michael, JoAnne's Child? Sylvia was my step grandmother. It was a sad day for me when i found out Sylvia was murdered. Also, when i came to Middletown, i hung around Michael when i was a child. It tore me up when Michael died later that year after Sylvia. Sylvia, Joanne and Michael were the best, i always considered them my family.

I actually shared this cemetery with another person and that is not one of the photos I have. I will go back when the weather is agreeable and take the photo myself. I have probably 20-30 graves I need to complete there.

Thank you for there info.
|James Lee Sorrell, III||Chalmer Sorrell|
The issue is that the Bath County 1910 Census for the family group of “John Sarell” and “Lottie Sarell” has enumerated a “Chalmery Sarell” age six when actually Chalmer Sorrell was deceased before this census was taken 4 May 1910. It should be noted that in this census it was stated five children were born and four still alive. Also, according to the census, at age six Chalmer Sorrell would have been born about 1904.
John David Sorrell and Charlotte Belle “Lotte” Terrell are my great grandparents; Chalmer Sorrell is therefore my great uncle.
Chalmer Sorrell died as an infant. His cause of death was from a concussion. He was pulled off the bed and as he fell his head struck a hard object, probably the floor. A family photograph exists that shows Charlotte Terrell Sorrell, John David Sorrell, James Lee Sorrell, Sr., Orville David Sorrell and Chalmer Sorrell. The image of Chalmer Sorrell in the photograph is in the form of a large hand painted portrait and shows an infant about three months of age. The presence of this portrait indicates that Chalmer Sorrell is deceased at the time this photograph was taken. Orville David Sorrell is shown in Charlotte’s lap as an infant about two months of age. Orville was born 15 April 1905 which dates this photograph to about July 1905. Sitting in John David Sorrell’s lap is James Lee Sorrell, Sr. as a child of about six years of age. James was born 2 October 1899 which again dates this photograph to about 1905.
My conclusion is that: (1) Chalmer Sorrell did die as an infant as told to me in 1979 by my grandfather James Lee Sorrell, Sr.; (2) and Chalmer Sorrell was born in 1904; (3) and Chalmer Sorrell died before July 1905.
There is no guarantee that a person enumerated in a census is actually alive at the time of the enumeration.
Ann, the portrait mentioned above will eventually be added to my Ancestry.com family tree.
